Hey, I have the same problem.
Never happened when booting up, only have in-game.
There's no actual pattern, sometimes it simply crashes randomly and I have no clue to figure out what are the reasons exactly.
At first, I though it was the Vertical Synchronization or the DX 12 switch, but neither those nor a combination is the reason behind it.
I'll also add that sometimes I have so random drop of FPS below ~15 for like 0.5-1 seconds out of no reason.

- 7 years agoSeems its many that having problems with crashes. Then it sounds like its not the pc that is the problem. As soon as I try to join a match my game crashes while loading the map. It just says that Battlefield V stoped working. Nothing more. No errormessage.
Yep same "BFV stopped working" message for me. This thread has been open for weeks with multiple easy repros they can get from people... yet we haven't heard anything of substance other than "we're investigating". 4 weeks is more than enough time to investigate.
- 7 years agoNow this is pathetic.. I cant even play. I get crash even in main menu.... Without error.
I cant play multiplayer at all. My game just freezes. When I went and checked out windows event log, I could find this:
DCOM ERROR 10016:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and APPID {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402} to the user {PCNAME}{USERNAME} SID (S-1-5-21-298442425-1714646926-1846769863-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
I was unable to fix this, even by taking manually ownership of the mentioned registries.

That event just tells you that your instanced logon to Windows is where the problem is. Unfortunately the event logs are a myriad of mostly useless info.
the latest Nvidia drivers should fix most of the problems along with a repair install of the.exe
