Hey, the fact that this game also crashes on XBOX and PS speaks for itself.
I'm just going to add these 2 logs.

Both these errors get mentioned incredibly frequently here and the Battlelog Forums.
This is what causes my BSOD.

Somehow i hate to post this - BUT:
Switching my RAM MHZ to 2133 instead of 3000 (which they are capable of) stopped the crashing - but the game performs considerably worse in total now since my Ryzen is dependent on fast RAM!
All in all this is NOT acceptable!!

Since I still keep going.
Aida64 - Passed
Memtest86 - Passed (short run)
Prime95 - Passed (though 3 hour run)
3DMark Firestrike - Passed
UniEngine Heaven - Passed
Furmark - Passed
DISM - No issues
sfc /scannow - No issues
CCleaner - No issues in registry
And BFV just keeps on crashing.
I've done my part. I can confirm for 100% my system is perfectly fine.
Rumour is that there is a patch next week, hopefully it has some performance fixes.
(also my replies have returned I see)

@IGF-Honorguy - Rumor? Interesting. From where did you get this information if I may ask? (I'll Google of course...)
STILL waiting on these EA guys to act like they have a shred of concern for this... But the crickets continue to chirp. - 7 years ago
Nice to know things haven't changed in 2 months
- IGF-Honorguy7 years agoNew AdventurerSome game changers and devs on twitter are hinting at it. Aside from that, more and more patch info is already being shared by some devs on twitter as well. Including netcode changes.

I'm facing the same problem. From sunday till now i've spent 3~5 hours daily trying to fix this out, but i didn't found a solution at all.
The crash still there... and the solution?
Actually, this is not new and not as uncommon as it should be.
BF1 had it and it seems that BF5 also... a "particulary indisposition" with some windows update patches.
In my case the 10 min crash happened after the last windows update.
The same thing happened with BF1 a couple of months ago.
So you have two options:
1 - Wait till EA fix it.
2 - Windows - Start - Configuration - Updates and Security
2.1 - Windows update - Update History
2.1.1 - Uninstall Updates
2.1.1.1 - Uninstall KB4480116
Reboot.
It should solve the problem - 7 years ago
Only settings that seem to work... I increased the power Limit and Temp limit on the GPU, and Downclocked it quite a bit, to roughly base clock.
Runs smoothish with DXR on (low as recommended by Nvidia) 60FPS max and 1440p (quite annoying to have so low FPS with my machine), and otherwise the recommended video settings (everything in Ultra). I fiddled a bit with everything all night, that is the only settings with which I can last 2 full rounds on maps that usually crash and having seen lots of explosions.
I'll try next without downclocking but with still the same power/temp limit...
Very annoying but at least it runs...
Oh! I also increased my ram to the first xmp profile, a world of difference! - 7 years agotry deleting the save file from the file "Battlefield V" in your documents
not the whole file but only those inside the "settings" file
this worked for me - EDK-Rise7 years agoRising Travelerset pagefile at least 24GB.
- IGF-Honorguy7 years agoNew Adventurer
Setting a massive pagefile (also 24GB aint correct you need to set it according to the formula of 1024 x (RAM) x 1.5) In my case it meant an almost 25GB file. But that doesn't help nor dos removing some updates from Windows as this also happened before I even went to 1809 since it was delayed for me. The only thing that has direct causality for me is the activation of RTX by Nvidia in the drivers. When that driver came, the problems started for me. Problem is, if you go back on the drivers you cannot play BFV at all since it has the latest driver requirement. (you will literally get a pop up in screen to install latest GPU driver and then you can only close the game)

It should solve the problemand it did solve the problem. Also micro stutter is gone. Thx 👍

As a workaround:
Go to your "C:\Windows\System32" folder and rename the "nvapi64.dll" to "OLD_nvapi64.dll"
That should disable the driver check. (Doing it with a batch file would make this more comfortable, because the NVIDIA control panel will not work as long as the dll is renamed)
- IGF-Honorguy7 years agoNew Adventurer
@holger1405 doing that will result in the game saying you need to update the driver and therefore not launch.

That is strange.
I just tested it, got back to driver 390.65, from January 2018, and it worked flawless for me.
Edit: I know you did a lot, did you also clean installed your driver using DDU?
So I just was able to reproduce the issue outside of BFV
It seems it's the drivers from Nvidia that are faulty for me.
I ran a Furmark 3D with 4K resolution, and every other try my system will shut down, in GPU-Z as soon as the load on the GPU is 100% (or a little above I suspect) it crashes.
With older drivers 411.70 the GPU never reaches that point and instead the FPS lower... It seems BFV with its explosions and all suddenly gives load spikes that go beyond that limit...
I'll bring it up with NVidia and see what they say, the odd thing is it only concerns some cards not all... - 7 years ago
It finally crashed with the old driver.
I installed the Hotfix 417.58, same issue, looks like it'll be RMA for me. Don't know what's wrong but something is... - 7 years ago
From todays Patchnotes:
Stability • Made multiple crash fixes and general stability improvements

I believe it when I see it.

Surprise Surprise - the patch did absolutely NOTHING in terms of crashing.
Same old story - Picture Freezes, Sound dies shortly after - then the game closes and i'm on my Desktop again.
Thank you Dice for ignoring us.

Ahahahaha. Just logged in after the patch and crashed in first 2 min. Weeeeeeee.

@EA_Blueberry
We want a DETAILED status update - including analysis information from the DEVELOPERS - RIGHT NOW.
Get on it. - IGF-Honorguy7 years agoNew Adventurer
The patch (probably) solved it for me. I've been able to play 4 rounds in a row while I used to crash within minutes. However, I do not dare to be confident the issues are resolved for me. It may be temporarily.
In other news, it appears that a new group is facing the same issues we've already been dealing with. EA points to microsoft and microsoft to EA. Given this issue with the KernelBase is only BFV, I think we all know who we need to look at for a solution 🙂
- 7 years agoStill not fixed. Crashing everytime I open BFV.
