glitch on the mission Crossing Lines

Summarize your bug When I get to the part of the mission where I am given the binoculars from Mason my character immediately puts away the binoculars and brings out my gun, This then makes the mission from that point on impossible to beat because I cannot pull back out the binoculars and they are needed to get through that stage of the level, I have attempted restarting from checkpoint, restarting the mission and closing the game down entirely - none worked
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? try the mission under no flag
What happens when the bug occurs? I can not use the binoculars and have no way of pulling them out and in order to get to the next part in the mission I need to spot some enemies
What should be happening instead? I should be able to use the binoculars and spot the enemies
