Got banned via glitch in Beta which got overturned, Got BFV free banned again

So back in the BFV Open Beta I got banned within less than a minute of gameplay.

I opened a ticket and according to the customer support this was a glitch and that it would be overturned. The ticket was closed and everything was fine but sadly by the time this was sorted out the Beta was over.

This experience scared me from actually buying the game, I was worried that If I spend 60 bucks I could just get banned for no reason all over again.

Recently Amazon Prime gave away BFV and I decided to give it a shot.

I can play the game and have even completed some matches but will get kicked randomly saying that I am banned with the message"fair fight ban code #ty96ip."

According to the BFV support page on the EA site I still have the Ban on my account HOWEVER I don't have the Ban on my history.

I think the person who helped me didn't fully un-ban me or didn't do it properly.

It looks almost like they just cleared my Ban history but actually didn't un-ban me from the game.

However if I was still banned from the game I don't think I would be able to join any games or be able to play at all.

I am very thankful I actually didn't buy the game HOWEVER I am a little worried about buying BF2042 or participating in any sort of Beta if It going to ruin my experience down the road.

  • Hey @Mastace1990  You can get banned for using custom interfaces and 3rd party equipment as well - basically, anything that can interfere with EA's natural systems.

I'm afraid we can't really help with account/ban-related issues like this on AHQ and I need to ask you to speak with the Terms of Service team to get to the bottom of it. The process to contact them can be found here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
    Choose your platform.
Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
Fill out any other details below.
For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
    Click Select contact option.
Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension if you haven't already.

  • Whats a custom Interface? Also what is 3rd party equipment? I have every battlefield game and have had no issues except for this one.

I am running Windows 10 and opening the game using Origin.

My computer is pre-built gaming computer and is pretty basic, I don't mess with it aside from playing games.

Will this affect me with Battlefield 2042?

Is this a new thing for Battlefield or EA games going forward?

Also why did a EA employee tell me the issue was resolved when it wasn't?

Sorry for asking so much but I need to know so I can gauge whether or not if I should buy it.

I got the free copy of BFV to get excited for 2042 but now I am kinda wary.

If this is a persistent issue do you think I should pre-open a ticket several days before 2042 comes out so when this happens again I can dive into customer service to fix  the issue?

It took weeks for them to respond to the BFV ban during the beta and despite them claiming they fixed the issue it clearly wasn't resolved.

I would want immediate confirmation from them about the issue since I have a small window of time to ask for a refund if I buy the game that's multiplayer only and can't play multiplayer.
