So the other day I bought an Xbox bundle instore which included BF5 Deluxe edition included and some EA early access (10hrs). Everything was great and I was playing it fine as expected until I realised that pre order bonuses were no where to be seen. There was no extra codes included to download any bonuses and no enlister offer installed on my Xbox. Am I to expect no pre order bonuses despite playing on early access?

Have you tried highlighting the Battlefield V Icon on your home screen, hitting Select, and going to Manage Game?
Check there, and see if the Early Enlister is downloaded.
You can also check the Xbox Store, and see if it allows you to download from there.

Unfortunately I have tried that with no luck. There’s no enlisters download waiting for me in managed games and if I check it on the store it’s not available for me. Despite the deluxe game being a digital download I still bought it in a real store rather than online so I feel Xbox won’t give me the chance to download the pre order items. The only codes I had to download was for the deluxe full game itself and ea access 10 hours.

Have you checked in Battlefield 1 to see if you have the Pre-Order weapons available to you?
They should be there if you redeemed the Codes.
Have you also checked under "Manage Game and Add-Ons" under Battlefield 1? I know I asked if you checked for Battlefield V.

It appears you are referring to the Xbox One X Gold Rush Battlefield V console bundle. I see no indication of the Enlister Offer being mentioned in any of the marketing material for that bundle on any of the retailers I looked at that are offering that bundle. It may just not be included but it's possible that the store could print you out a code if you showed your receipt and asked for one in person or via phone/email. I only see the Enlister offer being mentioned for the stand alone versions of the game.
The easiest solution would be to simply preorder the standard version of the game from an online retailer and cancel the pre-order as soon as they email the code for the Enlister Offer and before the order ships. I wouldn't pre-order the Deluxe Edition as that is releasing on the 15th. These retailers are not going to care that you cancelled a pre-order before the order ships.
If you do a search for the enlister offer in the Xbox Store you see the following items are included in that bundle: Battlefield 1 Weapons, Paratrooper Outfit & Special Assignments. The weapon pack would be found in the manage game section of B1 and the outfit/assignments would be in manage game for BV. That outfit and those assignments are not available in the EA Access trial and won't be available until the Deluxe Edition releases on the 15th.
