Grenade Explodes on Death

Product: Battlefield V
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Please specify your platform model. Sony PlayStation 4
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Conquest
Please select your region North America
On which server did this happen? Dice Official
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) Always
Summarize your bug Why is it that if I throw a primary grenade such as the incendiary grenade and get shot and killed while it's in the air it immediately falls to the ground or explodes? This isn't realistic - - just because I was killed doesn't mean that something that was thrown isn't still there and shouldn't do damage. Fix this so it still lands on target regardless of the former owner's status.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play - throw - die while object is in the air. Watch as your grenade does no damage and immediately explodes before getting to your target.
What happens when the bug occurs? It makes me so disappointed in the coding
What should be happening instead? Object should follow through on initial path and explode or do whatever function it was supposed to regardless of player

So unrealistic it's disappointing....

And while I'm complaining about being unrealistic.  Melee in Battlefield 5 is the worst I've seen.  Its slow, and unless conditions are perfect, produces lackluster result.  I can't tell you the number of times I've been right behind someone and tried to use a knife to kill them and have it hit once for 55 damage and the turn and shoot me dead before I can even poke at them again.  Melee is the worst and causes so much frustration.  It's unfortunately habit from playing for so many years to come to depend on it working properly that I forget to NOT USE IT and just shoot instead.  Please fix it - - you can do better, I know you can...

  • "Fixed an issue where players still could take bullets damage for too long from a player that was recently killed, especially if that player had high latency. When the player is now confirmed killed on the server, damage from that player will be rejected. This change WILL NOT affect grenades, rockets and other projectiles that are not bullets."

  • I hadn't noticed this but I'm not surprised really. I'll have to have a closer look to see if I've noticed this.

  • Based on the Feb 12th patch notes - it says that death will ONLY void bullets of dead player and not grenades and other explosives.

Ive noticed this as well and this was how Battlefield1 was in the begining also. I did participate in a poll the other day and "death from the grave" was one of the issues i voted for.

What they are referring to in the patch notes is if you place a AP-mine or AT-mine and then die, those will remain in place until you place more than 3 on the field and then the first placed mine will disappear.  That patch note doesn't refer to a hand thrown grenade in the air at the time of death.

Didn't remember that from the beginning of Battlefield 1, only how it was after they fixed it and made it more realistic.  Thanks Mohay for upvoting that they fix it.

Was indeed fixed today!  I was unable to reproduce the issue today.
