How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Update the game then press play.
What happens when the bug occurs? I press "play" in origin and it goes to the "launching/loading/cloud sync" loading bar goes to 100% then it goes away. game will not launch.
What should be happening instead? The game should launch.
I tried repairing the game, restarting origin, restarting my computer, signing in and out of origin, and pressing play from various parts of origin. My internet connection is NOT the issue. I played the game for three days before this without issue, then i updated today and it will not launch.
same here since this morning, was playing yesterday.
i havent even been able to play yet, worked fine for me in beta, but i only get the black loading screen with a chat box and the loading V thing and after maybe 10 seconds it crashes back to origin
talked to support who are no help at all
first guy resolved my ticket without doing anything at all lol hopeless
next guy sent me a list of usual stuff to try, none of it worked
so sad that you pay for early access and get stiffed on the first day
Yes I have the same error. The game doesn't start anymore. I see the bf5.exe showing up in the task manager. But it disappears quickly and only Origin is opening. Does BF5 perform something like a DRM validation check? And that wrongly fails right now for a lot of people.
The "bfv_196216_OnlineActivation_Log.html" in the folder "file:///C:/ProgramData/Origin/Logs/" says

For those game not working after update might be a security issue, every 1 go to https://profile.ea.com/login.do and in security tab turn on login verification.
restart your origin client and add your pc in trusted device, run the game and game should run like a charm.

I already had verification of every single device. But thinking about that, I actually changed the password and disabled/enabled back again device verification. Result: same problem.
I tried every common fix like uninstalling/reinstalling origin, the game, firewall rules, ports parameters. Result: same problem.
Hell, I even formatted to have a clean 1809. Bf3/4/1 no problem, bfv not starting!
I've seen that black mini screen of what it resembled origin in game chat or something similar for a split second but the same behaviour all over again: process starting and then dying to origin back again.
Funny that on my laptop it is working and it was working the patch day morning! But not anymore after that.

BF5 won't start. Clicked on orange PLAY button and ORIGIN dissapear and reapear at the same game play button window, nothing lauches. My friends list dissapeared too. Received emails saying my account was log in from an unauthorized PC. So I've change my password like they suggest but still can't lauch the game.
Any thoughts?
Also I've uninstalled the BF5 Beta to make some space for the BF5 game. Could this be the problem?

I got it to work again!! Here is what i did:
1. Open Origin
2. Right Click on BFV. So that you can see the Option to repair. Leave it like that.
3. Go into your BFV folder and delete BFV.exe and BFVTrial.exe
4. Go back to Origin and click on repair.

Same problem pretty frustrating.
Evidently there is a fault with the latest patch, imagine they don’t want to admit to it so close to launch and will push out a fix quietly before the 20th.
Same here. I've tried everything to get BFV to launch. I press Play, Origin freezes, it minimizes then pops back up after 5 seconds.
Tried everything i could find for the past few hours. Still no joy.
