Is the game crashing to desktop when you try to load it from Origin?
Or is it crashing mid-match, after rounds, etc?
This is a known issue with AMD Graphics Cards (see image below)
There's going to be another Update/Patch this Month, so hopefully that will address these issues.
If you'd like to wait until after the Update to see if things improve, I would recommend doing so, but that's up to you.

The game crashes on start up. So it opens up --> black screen with bf5 loading logo in the top right --> loads for a few seconds --> logo freezes and game closes.
Interestingly, there's no send error report prompt or anything of the sort that pops up.
When is the next bf5 update?

It was all good after that big update, but now that it's updated again it's doing the same thing. Very sick of it.

Have you gone back and tried some of the steps that I've previously posted?
I would also recommend maybe doing a clean uninstall/reinstall of the latest Drivers as well for your Graphics Card.

I've also been having crash issues even after the recent update. It usually happens after playing the game for like 15-20 minutes then the screen freezes and the game just crashes with no error message.
My PC specs
AMD Ryzen 5 1600
GTX 1060 6GB
RAM Corsair Vengeance 16gb 2666mhz
Running on Windows 10 1809
I've tried clearing the cache, reinstalling origin, reinstalling geforce drivers and verifying the game files.
I'm having the issue of crashing after pressing the 'Play' button too.
Loads up until the title screen then just straight back to the desktop. Not had an issue until today's update.
Checked all my drivers, just verifying the fans files now. Very frustrating though.

I have the exact issue. How are people fixing this? I have the latest drivers and as soon as the menu loads it’s immediately crashes to desktop. It was literally working day before yesterday until it updated and now it crashes within seconds of loading the menu.
