So, i just did a fresh install of Windows 10, version 1903. I installed al my games, and everything is working, except 1 game; BF5.
The game just wont start... I installed the latest nvidia drivers, and updated al my other drivers with Driver Booster 6.6 (Pro version). All new windows updates are installed as well.
I reinstalled Origin, reinstalled BF5, just doesnt work.
Any help on this?
What happens when you launch the game? Do you see the BFV menu or logo or does it not respond at all? Also have you tried to launch the game with within Origin itself or have you used the desktop shortcut for this? As advice i would like you to try and remove the BFV settings folder from your *windowsuser*\documents folder and try again?

The game does show up in taskmanager, en Origin says ''in game - BF5''. But then it shut down by itself and I go back to Origin.
I both used Origin for launch and desktop shotcut.
I removed BF5 settings folder, did not work. I must say, I dont have the '' PROFSAVE_profile'' file in the settings map... Maybe that is causing the problem?- XTRA-Larsiano6 years agoSeasoned Ace
The profile will be made once the game starts up correctly. Please check all game files using the Origin repair + update functions. Also check if your GPU driver is up to date manually. Please add a msinfo of your system so it can be looked at by a EA representative (and please delete the IP address in the report manually).

I tried repair multiple times, did not work. I am 100% sure I have the latest nvidia drivers. GeForce Experience says no updates available, and downloaded from nvidia website.
I already removed Origin and BF5 completely, and reinstalled. No luck...

The way to fix this is to uninstall every file having to do with BFV including appdata. I was having this same problem, but deleting every file having to do with battlefield and then reinstalling it worked for me. Sure it is a pain, but it is worth it in the end.

@94RD First off what are your PC specs and second have you tried a clean boot? If not please try this as it will help rule out a program on your PC stopping the game from loading, for example g force experience is known to make issues in BFV for some. Also start with this make sure all this is updated on win 10 most will be but still check everyone of them to be safe.....

Reinstall Microsoft C++ For my game PC's I install both x64 and x86 as it does not hurt the PC
NOTE>>> you need to select the x64 or the x86 file depending on what architecture your computer has. To find this out, Click Start, right click on "Computer" and select "Properties". Under system type is should say "32-Bit Operating System" or "64-bit Operating System". If 32-bit operating system, download the x86 file, and if 64-bit download the x64 file.
