Summarize your bug The game doesn't launch whatsoever. I've spent the last week with the EA help chat, but nothing works. I went in to the folder and launched the "bfv trial" exe and it actually launches but I only had 15 minutes left in the trial and the game won't launch anymore at all. Not the regular game nor that trial file. I believe it is some sort of licensing issue with EA/origin, because I had a similar problem before with Origin Access and Battlefield 1 and the chat guy was able to help me in January, but its obvious that the EA support system has failed greatly since then, because all of the agents and specialists I've talked to in the last week have been idiots that don't listen and repeat the same trash like robots.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Renew Origin access with a new gpu, and a previous bfv trial on the account. The game doesnt launch with this scenario. I have logged 40 hours in this game, it used to work amazingly.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game literally doesnt launch, no black screen, no nothing.
What should be happening instead? The game should be launching.
The game doesn't launch whatsoever. I've spent the last week with the EA help chat, but nothing works. I reactivated my origin access with the sole reason to play bfv but it doesnt launch since then. The only thing ive changed since the last time I played the game in feburary was my gpu. I went in to the folder and launched the "bfv trial" exe and it actually launches but I only had 15 minutes left in the trial and the game won't launch anymore at all. Not the regular game nor that trial file. I believe it is some sort of licensing issue with EA/origin, because I had a similar problem before with Origin Access and Battlefield 1 and the chat guy was able to help me in January, but its obvious that the EA support system has failed greatly since then, because all of the agents and specialists I've talked to in the last week have been idiots that don't listen and repeat the same trash like robots.NO ONE LISTENS WHEN I TELL THEM THIS IS A DRM/LICSENCING ISSUE. I LITERALLY HAVE TRIED EVERY TROUBLESHOOTING METHOD THAT EA CAN THROW AT ME AND NONE OF IT HAS WORKED (Please dont suggest something stupid like running in administrator, clearing cache, I promise you, you name it ive done it already.) ITS AS IF IM SPEAKING ANOTHER LANGUAGE TO THE CHAT AGENTS. THE GENTLEMAN IN JANUARY WAS ABLE TO SOLVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH BF1 IN JANUARY IN 5 MINUTES BUT EA ACTS AS IF THEY CANT ACCESS MY ACCOUNT TO EVEN CHECK MY OWNERSHIP OF THE GAME. This is so frustrating - the fact that I spent my money, cant play, and the idiots who are supposed to help me are incapable of doing so. Im preparing to chargeback as Battlefield v was my sole reason for renewing my Origin access account. I honestly used to think origin was better than steam, but it seems I was wrong.
Hey @davisdexter47 sorry to hear about the experience you had with support - so I have taken a look and see what is going. I understand that you think its to do with the entitlements with BFV and Trial that is not the case on this. Everyone get the trial file installed when installing Battlefield V.
Just to help you can you help me with telling me what have you tried outside what you listed below, thanks! 🙂
Are you launching the game with Dx12 or 11?

I’ve done all the basic troubleshooting: clearing origin cache, uninstalling/reinstalling origin and bfv multiple times, running in admin (both), rolling back to several old and new gpu drivers, i even took out my gpu and tried to get it to run off of integrated graphics. I downloaded BF1 to see if it would run and it did. I cleaned my registry, i tried running on a different windows profile, i ccleaned, i updated windows 1803 to 1903, i deleted and disabled several startup settings, repaired the game 20x Times, fiddled with every setting on origin, updates the game (yesterday) all this and still no luck. Yestersay i went into the profile file and toggle dx11/12 and niether started the game for me. I have a lot of computer experience as i build PCs for people but i can’t for the life of me figure out what’s wrong with my game man. The reason i point to an account/ownership issue is because i have literally zero technical issues on my pc as i keep it clean and ONLY use it for gaming and editing work for people.

@davisdexter47 I had almost the same problem when I had Origin Access removed from my account and like you tried many things. I am not 100% sure what my fix was as I own BFV and Origin Access kept telling me to buy the game once I had Origin Access removed :/ It made me nuts so I feel your pain. So not fully the same problem but if not done already this is worth a try and yes semi pain to do....Edit.. Maybe something is mucked up in your cfg file stopping the game from loading so this is why I am posting this for you :]
C:\Users\your PC Name\Documents\Battlefield V
1- Go to my Documents and remove BFV folder place it on your Desktop for now. Sadly you will have to play the BFV intro
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
3-Repair BFV
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and try to load BFV again.- 6 years ago@2042isNotBF Nope still not working for me.
