I don't like the summer update

This is most likely an unpopular opinion but I am very disappointed in the new update

1. Replacing The British with Americans in some maps just as Panzerstorm and Twisted Steel. These maps take place in 1940 during the German invasion of France and yet the Americans didn't enter the war until Pearl Harbor. This change makes no sense to me. I know the game is not historically accurate but this change just feels entirely wrong and out of place. It would have been better to make just entirely new maps in the European front featuring The Americans.

2. The new map added in the update feels very generic and to me it doesn't offer anything new.

3. The new background image in the main menu is really ugly. Previously you could see beautiful renditions of soldiers, tanks and planes. Now it's just a boring muddy field.

4. I was hoping for at least one new map set in later stages of the war in the European front. In 1944 on 1945. But since the Tides of War is cancelled, that is not going to happen.

@AssassinoFinland As @flyinghorse101 said, an unpopular opinion doesn't mean you shouldn't voice it. Many may feel the same way but don't say anything as they're shy. Keep the feedback coming in, constructive criticism is the only way devs will know how people truly feel 🙂

@AssassinoFinland First off all in my opinion it is always good to have freedom of speech and you're own opinion. So if it is impopulair doesn't matter ;-) At least you provide feedback with the why.

At one point I think the expectations where to high, and due to all circumstances this is what was launched. We currently see a lot of game delayed. And company's looking for the right safe direction to continue.
Therefore with those expectations I'm very happy with it. Some bugs, but sure they will be resolved in some sprint sessions.

About point 4, you can see the weekly missions a bit like Tides of War.

Let's see what a future Battlefield will bring. Personally I hope there will be a testing community. Like in BF1. To prevent bugs, and provide honest and early stage feedback about the look and feel.
But how BFV is left now it's acceptable for me.

For the most part I think the summer update wasn’t that bad. But I am really upset that they removed the “War in the Pacific” map rotation. That was probably my favorite game mode, but I feel like the new maps were a great addition to the summer update.

Personally, I really like the last update, the maps are great, totally different than other maps. You can have crazy good flanks on them if you explore the side routs.

I also really like the new weapons and gadgets, the new flare gun is super useful and you can easily use any them with great effectiveness.

Just to make this post constructive: the few things I would polish:

1) fix the scope on the K31

2) add points for destroying the flare of the new flare gun

3) add longer different sound to the fire crackers and some damage (~20)

Btw I play without music, you can rush in on squad conquest and hunt people down while they are still distracted by the music.
