In-game team switching???

While the new match’s timer was counting down, two players in my squad switch to the other team. All three of us were in the new match together, in the same squad. As we were the match prior. The other team had about 5 more players before my squad mates switched teams. They didn’t even leave the server to do it. They were able to switch teams in-game, to a team that had far more players. How is this possible? I thought switching teams is impossible in BFV? Playing on PC by the way.

Perhaps the key to the mystery here is due to this concurrent "new match timer counting down" that you've mentioned.
It's where-and-when I and others are most likely to leave a Server.
If 5 Players quit a Team and 3 fresh 'Joiners' (of the Game) are newly assigned , the 'balance' might be randomly taken from the other Team .
It could be that all you noticed was the two mates disappearing .

If the rate of fresh 'Joiners' to the Game is considered to be like a steadily-falling light rainfall , then the rate of potential 'Quitters' during any of these 'new match countdowns' could be considered to be like a brief torrential downpour.
Since water itself has the tenacious ability to go almost anywhere it pleases , it's not surprising at all to see that despite the best efforts of Game Makers to 'balance' such chaos , we still see 'wet spots'.

What you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read.  At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having to read to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
