Installation Errors - PC
Hello.
I recently heard that the best way to download the latest update for BFV was to uninstall it and download the whole thing again. Apparently, this turned out to be a massive mistake on my end, because I am now unable to download the game.
I continue to get the following error: 327684:2
This happens when I have downloaded about 16.7GB of the game, which is about the point where the game becomes 'playable'. In fact, when the Origin downloader reaches this point, it attempts to start BFV, which might contribute to this issue.
This issue happened to me before, but I solved it by uninstalling my C++ 2017 Redistributables and installing C++ 2015 Redistributables, which I didn't have at that time. I've tried reinstalling my 2015 Redistributables, but this time, it didn't work. I do believe that this is still some sort of C++ Redistributable or DirectX issue.
Here's what I managed to copy from the install log:

It appears that the cleanup program didn't work. I disabled my antivirus during this, and also gave permissions in my firewall. I've done a disk check as well, which gave an all-clear. I've tried several of the solutions that have been proposed on this forum regarding this error, but nothing has worked so far.
If there is some method to fix the cleanup program, or prevent the downloader from starting the game at the 22% mark, please let me know. If there's some other way to help me with this issue, I would highly appreciate it.
I fear that reinstalling my entire OS might be the only way forward, but I'd rather it not come to that.
Thank You.
EDIT:
I've attached a recently compiled text file from DXDIAG.
FINAL UPDATE:
The game has finally managed to install itself. On my final attempt, I tried a series of fixes, so if you want one that will definitely work, I'm afraid that I can't give you what you desire. Try all of them at once if you can.
Here's what I did:
- Disabled my antivirus entirely
- Disabled my firewall
- Disabled User Account Control
- Reinstalled Origin - use the hard uninstall first, as Ragnarok suggested in this thread
- Deleted all temporary files in my C drive
- Shut down most of your programs (such as my mouse software)
- Rename your install log text file - don't know if this did anything, but who knows XD
- Ensure that the EA folder in your Common Files folder (in your Program Files folder) is no longer hidden
The last step was done after coming across this thread:
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Error-327684-2/td-p/6937746
So, this sordid affair has come to a conclusion. I have to say that the Origin client is more trouble than it's worth at the moment, especially if I can expect such a nightmare again should I choose to uninstall BFV, which I won't do unless the Pacific content is underwhelming.
I do appreciate all of the suggestions that I received in this thread, and it could very well be possible that each solution alleviated my issues partly. I just wish that I could say that there was one 'ultimate' solution to this, but alas, life is more complicated than that.
Thank you, and farewell.
