Latency Variation Issues PS4
So I’ve been playing BFV for a while, always have struggled with my internet connection at home here in the UK. The ‘Latency Variation’ symbol pops up almost all the time, it’s practically on constantly. Then I will get what appears to be the ‘Packet loss’ symbol and its practically unplayable. This wouldn’t happen too regularly but the latency variation circular arrow with an ‘X’ on it was almost always on. I could still play while this occurred but noticed some delay. Now in the past couple of days I’ve had Fibre from BT switched on going from 7mbps download to 35mbps and a 0.5mpbs upload to a 8-10mpbs. This happened a couple of days ago now I struggle to understand how I see NO DIFFERENCE to my connection in game. The latency variation symbol is still on 95% of the time. The only thing I haven’t noticed yet in 2 days of having Fibre is the packet loss symbol which is good though I do see the red ‘Server Performance’ indicator every game though I think this happens just when the game ends so may be a glitch for everyone. I have an EA Tunnel for the PS4 in my BT Homehub device settings which I think is functioning effectively like a IPv6 pinhole/ IPv4 port forwarding and I didn’t need to actually set this up. My NAT is Type 2 and I use a powerline adapter for my PS4 so it is as close to a wired connection as I can acheive. I’ve tried restarting the router etc changing channels to no avail. Is there anything more I can do? Surely I should’ve noticed a difference as my broadband speeds have changed so drastically?
