Re: My BFV account was mistakenly banned.

Dear EA Support Team,

I am writing this message in absolute frustration and disbelief.

Today, January 10, after the latest Battlefield V client update, my account was suddenly and permanently banned for alleged cheating. Let me be very clear: I have never used cheats, hacks, or any third-party software. I have invested countless hours into this game, played honestly, and respected the rules at all times.

This ban happened immediately after your recent update — and now suddenly hundreds of legitimate players are being labeled as cheaters? That does not look like fair anti-cheat enforcement. That looks like a broken detection system punishing innocent players for your technical mistakes.

It is unacceptable that loyal customers are being treated this way without proper investigation, transparency, or proof. An automated system is not infallible, and blindly trusting it while ignoring player appeals is deeply disrespectful to your community.

I demand:

A manual review of my case

A clear explanation of what exactly triggered this ban

Immediate action to fix false positives caused by the latest update

If this issue is not addressed properly, you are effectively telling honest players that their time, money, and trust mean nothing to you.

I expect a serious response — not a generic automated reply.

    Good question. it would be really good if there was a way to "escalate" an appeal which has been on "waiting for studio" status for such a long time.

    Waiting for studio. And I read in other forums it takes a while....maybe weeks to a month or so?

    Ahoj stále nic? Spamuji je denně kvůli tomu. Sice ban jsem nedostal ale baví mě to 😅. Lidi se kterýma hraju mají 6000+hodin a nechcou přijít o účet

    I'm also wondering why its maybe new ea tactics to buy BF6 and i never buy BF6 after this ban

    So it is a Bug with their Anti Cheat. Hope they fix this, since thousands of people are complaining regarding this isssue

    The same thing happened to me in BF5 as well.

    Regarding the ban, I suspect a possible bug related to using Alt+Tab, involving a Microsoft process called GameInput Service, which connects peripherals to the game. This could potentially cause a false positive for cheating classified as “gameplay improvement,” possibly due to a delay that occurs when switching back from another window to the game. This is just a theory I have after carefully analyzing everything.

    I did not install anything on my PC during those days. There are no unknown .dll files in the game folder, and there was no other running process that could indicate any injected input hack on my PC or on my account.

    My second theory is that my account may have been compromised somehow and accessed from another PC using hacks or similar tools in order to get my account flagged. This suspicion is based on the fact that several unusual and random bugs started happening, beyond what we normally experience. One example is the airplane’s nose constantly pulling downward, forcing the plane to crash, as well as shooting failures, disconnections, etc.

    Now all that’s left is to wait for their response. However, the first review didn’t change anything.
    Starting everything from scratch honestly takes away the motivation to keep playing BF.

    I got the same thing. My K/D ratio is below .5 and I have been playing BF for over 6 years. I have never cheated in this game. I was going to buy BF6, but that is out.

    Happened to me as well. Got banned on the 09th and they mention i was cheating. Never cheated in my life

    I am admin for TSC and even I got banned. More admins from different servers (including BoB) got banned too for gameplay enhancements. We will keep appeal.

    Thank you so much for this wonderfully reassuring response. It’s truly comforting to know that the only way to reach the “right team” is through a form that leads absolutely nowhere.

     

    I especially appreciate being told how important my “understanding” is, while my account remains blocked without any explanation, evidence, or timeline. The efficiency of this process is impressive — submit a form, receive a generic reply, repeat indefinitely.

     

    Rest assured, I fully understand now: the system works perfectly, just not for the player.

     

    Looking forward to continuing this exciting loop of automated responses.

    I'm a member of the [BOB]s community, but I haven't played on DICE servers for several years. I only play on Bob servers. Being a member of this community helps detect cheaters on the servers. This community has done more in the fight against cheaters than the developers have done in all these years. You must be completely stoned out of your minds there.
