Forum Discussion
@EA_Atic Correct me if im wrong because this is the first time ive used the forums but have you even responded to a single person within this topic or is this just a waste of my time...
IMO i think there NEEDS to be a player voting system like vote kick / ban if you have seen someone hack on bfv yourself you would understand how many people are frustrated by this and you know the majority of the players in the game would make the right choice and not abuse the vote kick system how you could implement that is up to you i guess however there is no player power whatsoever! i mean people pay subscriptions to origin or buy the game to play and they are forced to just sit there and watch their time be wasted by hacker after hacker im not sure what you think we are to do.. waste time using your reporting system in the hopes that the player gets banned? well what do we do after we report leave the game? sit there and hope the hacker leaves first? there needs to be some sort of system that detects cheaters the majority of the cheaters i have come across are so obvious they dont even attempt to hide it racking up a whopping 70+ headshots in a few minutes with a machine gun spam im sure it cant be that hard to detect someone whos racking up those sort of stats.. another idea i have is community admins similar to how custom server owners can appoint admin powers to players on their servers i see theres alot of helpful people on the forums with good history and input who are actively trying to help out why cant you trial these players as admins? with very basic powers like kick / temp ban and then each player that is banned/kicked you can review later on hopefully this could help with managing the many thousssaaanddsss of reports you would recieve and hopefully provide a short term solution to the hacking issue. For me personally the biggest problem is where i find myself after having a game ruined by a hacker do i player another server? do i play another game? and then next time i look at my desktop do i play BFV again or do i play something else.. where we the players are left after reporting leaves us in limbo but leaves the hacker enjoying his sabotage this needs to be reversed.
@khaleesisimmer4 Firstly if you are brand new to the EA HQ forums, I'd like to personally welcome you to the Best Community in The World, where your feedback is read and other players will help you where they can. I can confirm that @EA_Atic is very activ on these servers, however this thread continues to pop up and the answer can only be given so many times before it starts sounding like a broken record.
There are procedures in place to report/combat cheaters, if you see any cheater / hacker , please use this link: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/report-players-for-cheating-abuse-and-harassment/

I hope this answers your concerns

@Real_Noobalishus
Really, it really works?
I submitted my report. Now what?
We’ll investigate it and take action according to our policies.
Will I get an update on my report?
We can’t give you information about our investigation or what actions we take on another player’s account, due to privacy reasons.
Another really? Why should we the one paid for the game should do all the stupid works when EA doesn't f*cking care about it?
And yet tomorrow, weeks n months later we just experienced the same frustration all over again?
Remember "We can’t give you information .. what actions we take.. blablabla"?- 6 years ago
@L1mt7 As @tesla said, giving information regarding another player is a breech of privacy. What DICE does with the reported player is between them. I know this may not be the answer you want to hear but with all things involving another party and a mediator (in this case DICE), after you have made your report, the following events are no longer in your hands. So would be the same if you reported someone for criminal activity in real life, Police would take your statement but they wont go through their procedure with you as its a need to know basis, if they need more information they will contact you.
I can however confirm DICE does investigate report claims as I have been reported a number of times for "cheating" due to simply flying a fighter and getting between 50 - 100 kills a game will 0 deaths. DICE investigated me and found there was nothing nefarious go on and thus the case was dropped. Another testimony I can provide is someone I reported a while ago was looked into and their game profile can no longer be found.
The fact is DICE needs to have solid proof through either a provided video (preferably through spectator mode) of the alleged cheating and they will check into the game data to see if anything is amiss, otherwise it becomes a game of he said she said.
Like all online games, there are many players simply salty about certain other players and mass report them, these real claims go in the same queue and unfortunately the false accusations create a backlog and waste the company's time as each report needs to be investigated properly. For QA reasons they can't just dismiss them as they don't know which claim is real and which isn't until they investigate them. With a player base in the hundreds of thousands if not millions, you can imagine how many reports there are made daily. You just need to be patient, your report will be review when it reaches that point in the queue.
DICE does care about it and have done what they can to make reporting people as easy as possible, as I said before, with a player base as large as Battlefield, DICE cannot simply be everywhere and see everyone. If we as the player base truly care about this game we paid for, then it's our duty and obligation to do what we can, when we can, to assist DICE weed out the bad apples. This is not going to be an easy battle as these types of people will be persistent but so should we.
- 6 years ago@Real_Noobalishus that's an answer a cheat would give. Stop excusifying the cheats in this game. It looks bad kid.
