Enemies are already near impossible to see, traditional spotting is gone, half the classes can't reach you, nor can they do enough damage to down you, and you still want to nerf the glint?
The last thing this game needs in it's current state is to cater more to campers. Push with that Model 8 + 3x scope like I do mate, your teammates will thank you too
Thank mates, I appreciate you comments and point of view. To be clear, I only use a 3x scope when I need a bit more range and in Assault and Support as well. I do not run a 6x or above (because of glint). So, for you and I, because of glint, there really is no need for 6x or above scopes in the game. Why not just eliminate them from the game all together -- or to level the playing field-- put flood lights and disco balls on every soldier? Would that teach those Assualt, Medic and Support campers an even handed leason?
By some definitions, everyone is camping (in all classes) when they are not running and gunning like they were playing COD. Honestly, most of the campers I encounter are not running Recon class. And in terms of lethal range, 50% of all weapons is more than enough to punish anyone with a glowing glint ball resting between their eyes like a bullseye. In fact, I've lost count of how many times I've been nailed from accross the map by someone weilding an KE7 -- even if I wasn't running glint.
Learning how to avoid snipers is a tactic every soldier should learn - especially when the snipers don't have flood lights, disco balls and a neon signs glowing atop their heads. It's why I mentioned the teamwork tactic of covering fire, and looking before jumping into the breach in the earlier post. With kill-cam revealing everyone elses position before your instant reincarnation, even a snip without glowball glint is gonna have to change his position after each kill.
Runing and guning is fun, but it is not an actual tactic anyone would really employ on a battlefiled -- well, except for the imortal who love to be cannon fodder.
When I play recon, I want glint to be limited to scopes of 8X or larger and only refelcted to observers in the line of fire when the scope is facing the sun, the sun is at the observers back, and the scope is not obsucred by vegetation, fog, haze, smoke or solid objects. Knowing the kill cam is going to reveal my position, staying put is reall an option and therefore, glint isn't needed. Please, please, please. Nerf glint.

Perhaps some changes have been made already.
Agree on playing the objectives and just upgraded the medic jungle gun to level 2 this evening. Its a sniper with a medic role.
