[PC] Battlefield V Crashing with no error message

I've pretty much just built a new system from scratch (No stranger to drivers, software etc), and every time I run Battlefield V, within a few minutes of running the game, it freezes up and crashes.

I did a little looking into this, and it seems that my RAM is filling up to abnormally high amounts (16GB total). I decided to do a bit of investigation with this.

I have then increased my pagefile to a whopping 24GB, and the game would run without issues until the pagefile too was filled up! (Have since reduced this)

Seems like the game has some serious memory leak issue, and it also seems like I'm not the first to report such an issue.
I'm using an i7-9700K (Non-Overclocked), RTX 2080 (Is Overclocked, game has same issue without the Overclock), 16GB 3000MHz RAM.

If anyone would like any other sort of screenshots/documents to assist in debugging this further, just let me know and I'll assist in any way I can.

Have played for 2 hours and 40 minutes today, no crashes at all.

Would expect this level of performance from launch, not two months afterwards.

  • Had a driver update today, as well as a 4gb update ingame.

Tried running it in DX11 and it actually worked!
Little while later, tried my luck with DX12, and that works too.

I hope that it's this update that's got the game to a working state, though I'll update this if it happens again.

So far have only crashed once, and was at the end of a cutscene so I'll allow it.

I'll update this once I've played a bit more to test further.

crashes everyday at least a couple times and also pauses in game for up to 1 second every so often (about 10x/game) - when it 1st launched, no issues with crashing...  I think it's the RTX update to gain performance, which is certainly has at the expense of crashing all the time.  I'll try turning off RTX and see how it goes.

  • I just bought new NVMe m.2 drive for fresh windows10 install to eliminate other software compatibility , and all games are installed on another NVMe M.2. all I got installed on my PC is BFV and The Division 2 and only software I need for my motherboard. I played about 2hrs and crash again. PC is only 6mnths old with premium parts so I got no Idea what's wrong. Here's error :
    bfv.exe

    1.0.71.9624

    5ca2316b

    KERNELBASE.dll

    10.0.17763.348

    0000000000039149

    3598

    01d4eb7d680042e7

    \Program Files (x86)\Battlefield V\bfv.exe

    C:\Windows\System32\KERNELBASE.dll

I'm fed up with this game now all we get is either patch which brakes other things or crashes to desktop plus unbalanced gameplay.
