G'day @Tileux
This is a lot to unpack here so I'll go through this as well as quick as I can. I'll be taking all of this from the view of a dedicated dogfighting pilot within this franchise.
First I agree that the Pacific aircraft are overpowered as well as the VB/Mosquito rockets but unlike the Pacific aircraft the British Rockets are merely an accidental buff that I am sure will be reduced in the next update. I have been very vocal from the beginning Pacific planes were given far too much firepower, especially against infantry and it's not right.
I know many 'new generation' pilots will chastise me for this as I HEAVILY disagree with infantry/tank farming and it really makes my blood boil when I see enemy aircraft avoiding each other and at times strafing side by side as they want a zero death game. Since December I have actively seeked players on the world leaderboard that have been rising to the top based on nothing more than farming breakthrough Pacific maps.
Regarding AAs not being effective and require a buff to range, this I can tell you is just not the case. As a pilot I can tell you right now that AA's are by far the biggest threat to me a a fighter and shooting me at long range just tells me exactly where you are and you better believe I'm going to gun straight at you.
The 37mm and 40mm AA's are monsters that can do between 12 - 16 damage per hit, firing 3 rounds a second, can reach a range of roughly around 1km - 1.2km on some maps and have a blast size so large I can still get destroyed below a cliff or behind a mountain because of the large AOE.
Now I rarely use AA as I'm 99.99% in the air but occasionally I like to get my boots dirty with some mates. Using the AA, so far I've been able to down every aircraft because I know how pilots act. Treat AA like a shotgun; useless at long range, deadly at short!
DO NOT fire it at long range, wait until they're coming in for a strafe/bomb run and wait until they're within 400m give or take. This will stuff up any bomb run if they have to redirect to you so you'll be safe, it'll also panic the pilot as you've just put them in a position where they can't get away quick enough from each shot. 3 - 5 seconds is all it takes to down even something as big as a JU88
Lastly the best defence you have against pilots is another pilot, so find people who like to fly, make friends with them and have them watch your back and keep the skies clear.
BFV is about teamwork, from the tanker pushing back enemy armor, the infantry pushing the objective and from the pilots in the clouds above...
I hope this has helped give you another perspective and ideas on how to tackle enemy pilots tearing up the battlefield 🙂

One other point I’d make is a large number of the aa guns seem to be set up in stupid positions where you can get easily sniped. So a good percentage of my deaths on aa guns in breakthrough(which is what I most;y play - conquest and the other modes is for noobs - is from level 2 campers sniping from the other side of the map.
