Question about the definitive edition upgrade

Hi! I'm currently playing battlefield V through game pass on PC. If I purchase the definitive edition upgrade *in-game* for $9.99 will I receive the game to keep and the definitive edition upgrade it...

    EA Desktop and Origin is using the same EA account so the same progresses will be there. @scholarlumas

    As @N4v1s said definitive edition upgrade is just the unlocks and not the game.
