You need to remove rapid fire from the game entirely, it’s a joke. People getting top of the team all the time with no skill simply because they are using rapid fire is just ridiculous. Get rid of it. It’s gotten to the stage now where the only guns people seem to use are rapid fire Tommy, rapid fire Type 2A, rapid fire ZK, etc. And because they are using rapid fire they are unkillable in a straight up fight. This is not how the game should be. Before you cast the game into oblivion at least fix the overpowered ridiculous SMGs first. I’d like to see the skill less losers suck at the game because they can’t use rapid fire anymore.When somebody can laser beam you with an SMG at 30m-50m faster than you can kill them with an LMG, you know something is wrong with the game. DELETE RAPID FIRE. I like this game and it’s completely ruined by toxic players that can only use a rapid fire SMG because they are too crap to use anything else.

@PaladinEvans You also have the ability to run these specializations too, I understand you're annoyance in this setting but just because you choose not to run these guns or specializations does not mean other people should have them taken away.This game is all about choice and it's not really anyone's place to tell others who paid for the game with their own money how to play. You have every ability to choose the same guns with the exact same specializations and give them back their own medicine and remember every gun has a counter, if these SMGs are taking you out at close to mid range, go with a mid to long range weapon.The sturm 1-5, STG 44, Sumoi, Lewis Gun and M2 Carbine at mid range can be excellent counters to these high RPM guns and nothing beats a shotgun at close quaters.Try not to let what other people choose to use, frustrate you, only worry about what you're going to do to counter it

It’s that rapid fire exists. But I suppose it is also that SMGs are overpowered as well as LMGs being far too weak. It’s mostly rapid fire though.

I played Locker and it wasn’t anywhere near that bad. People on BFV only use Tommy gun, Type 2A diabetes, and ZK all with rapid fire. Nobody in BF4 only used the same 3 guns. There was always a wide selection of guns people used

Mate mg4, saw 249, any of the ak variants. Basically anything with an rof of over 650.
And the 2a isnt that good beyond 30 feet unless you ate crouched or prone, much prefer the grease gun. High damage model that works better for hipfire and movement.
And i must not be playig the same servers as you. Mp40, beretta mab, stg, garand, trench and thats just in the last hour been killed by.
Depends on the map. Close combat maps of course you are going to see high rof weapons and shotguns. Big maps you see more long range weapons. I dont agree that means rapid fite should be nerfed.

Shotguns aren’t a problem. They are supposed to be an insta kill it you get within 10m. Outside 10m though they do no damage at all. If you miss your shot point blank you’re dead.
I LOVE the Grease Gun it’s amazing. Sometimes unpredictable recoil but the power is nice.
i play EU servers on Xbox. There is a clan of people that only use rapid fire SMGs, and since the player base is seemingly only around 1,000 players if that, they are the only people I find.

Also high rate of fire guns is not what my post is about. It’s about the fact rapid fire is an upgrade that can be put onto certain guns. It should not exist. AT ALL.

No I mean the bloody rapid fire specialisation on some of the guns. It needs to not exist at all.

Yes, while you have a point, most of the other other SMGs are useless at point blank range if someone has rapid fire on their gun. And it’s hard to get the drop on someone who is running around like a psychopath spraying bullets everywhere.
Not everybody likes to be a sheep and run the OP scumbag guns. Other weapons deserve love too. Just sucks that everyone in every shooter game in existence chooses the cheap pathetic way of playing instead of using a tiny bit of effort to use a different gun.
It’s always the same in every shooter game. 50 guns and only 3 are used. Shooters need better balancing.

I will be honest, it does sound like a time zone and server issue. What you are suggesting is so different to my experience on the Aussie servers.
