Squad sizes are limited to 4 people so you can't add more than that. You can get more friends to join the same server but it wouldn't be guaranteed that they get on the same team as you as there is no team selection.
If you're playing on Xbox then there is a way to select team.
Get your friends to join the same server as you and if they are not on your team they can bring up the scoreboard>select an enemy name>join game when the Xbox menu pops up. For this to work they have to join an enemy that isn't in a full squad otherwise they can't join. But this is the only workaround for Xbox, it doesn't work on PC or Playstation.
