Re: BFV crashes

I get the same or a similar issue but in multiplayer. I've never got it in single player.

When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm): 29.12.18 16:41 (GMT)
Summarize your bug: During multiplayer my game crashes all of a sudden. Sometimes I get a hard crash then I have to reload BF5, sometimes I get a long in game stutter or pause then the game crashes.
How often does the bug occur? Once a week.

What happens when the bug occurs? Sometimes there is a 1-5 second freeze then the game crashes or the game crashes. Either way it is all of a sudden. I do get random client freezing for 1-2 seconds every game.
What should be happening instead? No crash

  • Updated Mouse Driver and removed keyboard drivers (different mouse/keyboards)…. Crashes seems to stop... probably a memory conflict with the 3 (mouse, keyboard and BFV)..  Seems to be working now... no crashes in 10 days

  • I'm back!  I clean-installed W10 about 5 times since I was still exp'ing crashing. Finally gave in and contacted EA Support.  For whatever reason I can't copy straight from the chat, so I'll type it by hand the solution that fixed the issue for me.

    1. Repair the game (r-click, repair  in origin)

    2. Clear all the cashes of Origin

    a.quit Origin and it's webhelper (use Task Manager)

    b. open ProgramData (unhide hidden files in File Explorer, navigate to C:// most likely, if not  Run -> %ProgramData%/Origin

    c. delete everything EXCEPT LocalContent (so ctrl-A then ctrl-click the LocalContent to unhighlight, then Delete key)

    d. open AppData (C://Users/[your-user-name]/AppData  or Run -> %AppData%)

    e. Navigate to Roaming, find Origin, highlight it, hit Delete key

    f. go back, now go to Local, find Origin, highlight it, hit Delete key

    3. Restart your comp, and see if it works!

    I just played a game of Domination all the way to the end, and ran well.
