DLSS is available with the following GPUs, with ray tracing turned on, at the resolutions listed below:

  • 3840x2160: All RTX GPUs
  • 2560x1440: RTX 2060, 2070, and 2080
  • 1920x1080: RTX 2060 and 2070

Now, you can play Battlefield V with ray tracing at higher settings, resolutions and detail levels across our entire range of GeForce RTX GPUs, thanks to the addition of DLSS. The following are our new recommended settings for 60 FPS Battlefield V gameplay*:

  • RTX 2060: 2560x1440, High Quality Preset, Medium DXR, DLSS On
  • RTX 2070: 2560x1440, Ultra Quality Preset, Medium DXR, DLSS On
  • RTX 2080: 2560x1440, Ultra Quality Preset, Ultra DXR, DLSS On
  • RTX 2080 Ti: 3840x2160, Ultra Quality Preset, Ultra DXR, DLSS On

To turn on ray tracing and DLSS in Battlefield V on GeForce RTX PCs and laptops, follow these steps:

  1. Install our new Game Ready Driver
  2. Install Windows 10 October 2018 update (version 1809, or higher)
  3. Download the new February 13th Battlefield V game update from Origin
  4. With everything installed and updated, head to the Graphics Setting menu in Battlefield V, enable DirectX 12, restart the game if prompted, click on Advanced Settings, enable DXR and restart the game if prompted, enable NVIDIA DLSS, then scroll down and select a detail level for the "DXR Reflections Quality” setting.

    And I got a RTX 3090 and I can't activate DLSS either in BF5. I'm also running 2560*1440, so I can't select the 4k resolution

    Same I'm on the 3090 as well to, no matter how much I changed my settings it wouldn't allow me to use DLSS. It's frustrating !

    What is really irksome is that DLSS worked on my 2080 at 1440 , i upgrade to a 3080 ( NVIDIA STOLE MY MONEY ) and now it doesnt, so the question should be asked, why did I upgrade? I will never game at 4k, have no interest in it whatsoever but it seems like these thieves want me to reduce my frame rate and  increase my resolution , sorry Nvidia and EA, provide what is advertised or provide a refund as you are in breach of contract and advertising standards

    uhhhh what im reading here , im not the only one with this problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  went  2070 with dlss  to 3070  no dlss ,  you have to play at 4k for this to work now ? omg how is that possible!!!!!!

    hope there is a solution soon !!!!!!!!!

    thanks to @BegmeforLife for providing, apparently, a solution.

    follow these steps to activate DLSS v1.00 (not DLSS v2.00):

    1. install geforce experience
    2. open geforce experience
    3. go to details
    4. now: custom settings
    5. now slide the performance to 1 point before the maximum
    6. now you should see DLSS v1.00 on (activated)

    This very much annoyed me too since I got RTX 3090. Nvidia Geforce Experience usually adjusts game settings configs based on their own method.

    Most games you can manually modify settings outside of the game and Geforce Experience. For Battlefield V just go to: 

    %userprofile%\Documents\Battlefield V\settings

    There are several files, but for me it was the PROFSAVE_profile open in notepad or text editor

    Find the line that says GstRender.DLSSEnabled 0 and change it to GstRender.DLSSEnabled 1

    Whether it actually works is a different question.

    Keep in mind whatever you change could cause your game to crash\stop working if it's not actually supported

    @terminalhit based on what you said there, i made that change. set the file to "Read Only" attribute - altho that's probly not necessary. in-game, it shows DLSS is set to [ON] so i think that change made a difference and activated DLSS. good find!

    I got this working a few weeks ago based on this thread and it works amazing with my 30 series card.  Thought I'd drop a comment to confirm that it does work.
