Re: Can't shoot and can't switch weapon

I'm having this issue on PC, mainly when I'm on Ski's. Currently I can't get off the ski's at all, T doesn't work, mouse wheel doesn't work, numbers don't work...I have to restart the whole stupid thing. It's not a controller issue.

Did you even read his comments?? It's not a * controller issue. This is a bug that is EXTREMELY common in single player (especially when playing Solveig for some reason) when trying to pick up a new weapon sometimes it just locks you out of being able to do anything, from shoot to melee to aim. You can't do anything. The only way to fix it i've found is to find another weapon and pick it up, then pick up the one you wanted again. 

This is nothing to do with the game files, the license, the controller, the network or any other hardware issues. People have been having this issue for ages, on all platforms, with all controller types or KB+M. 

This bug is incredibly frequent in the Nordic mission especially, and is so bad i would have refunded the game had i not received it free with Prime. 

The number of game breaking or incredibly frustrating bugs in the game is astounding, especially considering they STILL exist despite Dice saying they're not working on BFV anymore. 

It's also not "1-1.5 seconds" lmao. it permanently locks your controls until you can "free" them by picking up another weapon, or by dying. The bug happens a lot if you try to pick up weapons and change your equipped weapon quickly, so if you're trying to pick up a new weapon, make sure your weapon swap animations or reload animations have completely finished before you make the swap. The number of animation bugs is ridiculous but at least with this one, trying to make sure animations have finished playing, and you're not switching from primary to secondary (or vica versa) when you pick up a new weapon, will reduce the chance of it bugging out and getting "locked".

Same issue here on PS4, hardly played and it's happened at least 4 times. Cannot switch weapon, aim, or shoot. It's nothing to do with the controller all other actions work. On the Norway campaign it also broke TWICE in that I couldn't progress to the final part of the mission "Infiltrate the bunker" because I didn't approach the objective exactly on the road. Don't know how they can release a AAA game with such large and obvious bugs wtf... 

I bought the game 2 days ago, and had this issue too often in single player for no reason.
Mind you, I rather spend time searching for a solution, than get frustrated by a bug that exist at least since 2019!
