@EA_Atic I tried to disable everything you said, even xbox overlay and i still can't write in chat, and no i don't have any controller connected to pc :/

Hey @GaIinha2, can you try to do a CCleaner and then run a clean boot on your PC and after that try if that works for you. Also what keyboard are you using and what keybind do you have to talk in chat?

@EA_Atic Im using "ENTER" and J/K/L to chose which chat to talk, but i tried to change the key bind and i still couldn't send my messages

I had this in the beta along with many others which was reported here, so DICE never fixed the issue, not holding my breath for a fix in the main game.  

Hey @EA_Atic do you think that the new chat system in battlefield 5 is blocking my ID like it was a "bad word", my ID is Galinha2, i don't know that must be the only reason i think its possible, and my ID in Portugal means "Chicken2" thats just it.

Could be , my name is comedykev but ubisoft ban it because the word * in the middle.   

All other battlefield games it's fine. 

I still hold no hope that dice will fix it as they ignored all the other threads during the alpha and betas. 

Edit: the word d y k e is also banned here on the forum.

Wait... so it would be my gamertag that would cause this? If so, it should say it somewhere that you've been banned or something... I tried all the abovementionned fixes and it still doesn't work ☹️ It's weird though because when I go back to Origin, it has an open chat window with the friend I'm playing with (but no text in it). If it's a ban for whatever reason, is there a way to see it somehow?

If that's indeed the case then it's quite the interesting bug you have found here. Something that could easily slip through Q&A I'd imagine. Hopefully, it gets fixed in one of the next patches.

This is a joke right EA? you was informed many times over the Alpha and beta that your chat was blocking people because of their names, and you have not only failed to fix it but failed to even acknowledge it. 

Look at mine Comedykev,. it has D Y K E in it so you think it needs blocking, then look at some of the others on this thread, the same issue.

i am unable to type ingame because of your new system, all other BF games its fine. 

Can you even acknowledge that you are aware of this issue and that you are looking into it to your customers 

Edit: ive had to change my name because DICE wont help since the Alpha, and guess what..this name dosent work either!!!

I saw in another thread that they're are currently investigating the issue.

Let's hope it'll be fixed shortly 🙂
