there has been a recent change. EA anticheat protected games won't launch with certain virtual controller software. However, you should still be able to play with your PlayStation Controller and since a while they should be natively supported by Windows. Make sure that your Windows version is up-to-date.

Hello, the game does not support natively PS5 controllers. I even tried adding the game in steam to use the steam input in vain.
my windows is update and but my ps4 controller is not natively supported. Its always the same, we cant play the games we buy. You lost one more gamer

I fixed it. Use X360ce instead of ds4windows.
It is not easy to configure, but once done works... Check tutorials on youtube

Issue hasn’t been solved!!! Yall only fixed it for bf 2042. I can’t play BF1 or BF5 with Bluetooth or usb. Please for the love of anything, fix this

Chances are that DS4 Windows will not be allowed I'm afraid.
Really strange such tools do not get blocked instantly. Since no-recoil scripts can be added and a lot more. The reason ds4windows is banned. I am amazed alternative tools are not also blacklisted, what is the point of blocking just one tool?
There's a similar one called reWASD that's banned as well, so I guess that they get added as their usage increases or something.
Its kinda simple.. If you want to use a controller, by a Console.
Or don't buy the game..
