This it due to the half-track being classed as a small transport vehicle so only tanks drive through walls. (even though in real life half tracks could drive though these walls with ease)

and yet a half track can take multiple hits from a tank... If it's going to be reclassified, it should come with the appropriate armor rating. Four panzerfaust and three hits with a Tiger are things I still don't get.
