Re: How to report player that spam chat for selling cheats?

Hi @r1zky24 You can report players in a variety of ways, and the guide below should cover the various processes:

https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/faq/report-players-for-cheating-abuse-and-harassment/

Moreover, there is already a spectator mode for BFV which you can use to check out suspicious players. You can join servers as a spectator through the server browser.

Please note, though, that "name and shame" is against forum rules (https://answers.ea.com/t5/help/faqpage/faq-category-id/faq-user-guidelines). I have removed the player name you posted on this occasion.

    Thanks for the reply, but...

I don't think you got my point

A LOT of them promoting cheats through chat ( as spectating player, not player in game )

I would if EA could make an option for spectating player ( emphasize on spectating player report spectating player )

Im' a vet Battlfield, I'm aware on how to report suspecting player.

Now back to my old question, how do you report spectating player as spectator that spamming chat channel promoting cheats?

@r1zky24 You would send their details along with any other information you feel is useful (E.G. server number and timestamp) to EA Help, as per the "Other Option" section of the guide.

    Owh, you mean these steps?

No wonder cheaters are growing rampant, try to be a good citizen by reporting suspected cheater and spammer is difficult, it's easier to buy a cheat than to report it.

@r1zky24 These are the steps I used and got a live chat:

    - Go yo help.ea.com and search for Battlefield V.
    - Choose to see more options.
    - Select "I want to report a player".
    - The live chat option was available beneath the article.

That seems too convoluted and takes longer time compared to the orthodox search username add report and blocked it. I don't think there is any other way than this, it is also impossible for  EA to overhaul a decade old system.

Thank you for the reply, I just hope EA will remain consistent fighting cheaters, we will strengthen your anti-cheat with reporting, just don't take any hesitation or took time too long for you to execute these cheaters.
