This is a nickname issue?  No it's not, it's a monitor your interns issue.  Fix it.  There is nothing wrong with my name, had it for over 10 years.  Call of Duty is OK with it!  If I can't play any more EA games then fine, that will save myself and my kids a lot of money.  

It unfortunately from customer point of view is indeed again something which suddenly is changing (and still wondering why) and causing issues for players. 

We all can play without chat for sure , or hide it with H if it annoys. But somebody , some team around the globe is amending the filter and programming AI. Perhaps testing for the next Battlefield but it starts to be a bit annoying. Words are blocked more and more again. 

Was wondering why words such as chute, sometimes, method, bloody, goddam and others are censored? (and in particular chute, sometimes and method).... its getting to a point where it wouldnt surprise me if the asterisk itself ⭐ gets censored. What exactly does EA have against communication with other players?

Still doesnt answer my question why (or what) you have against common words like something.... or chute (as in short for parachute). Might want to recode the censorship ingame as a patch. Gaming community are getting annoyed with it.

I understand people are a little frustrated their names can't be used or seemingly random words are getting the axe but I can assure you the team is working on it. We gotta continue to just report what we come across here; please try to keep the side chatter and other comments to a minimum, however, as that is an easy way to get the thread locked which doesn't help anyone.

I can’t chat in game either and as far as I can tell my user name is not offensive. So what is the cause?

Did you ask someone you know to type your in game name into the chat? If it appears as ****** then somebody reported your name as offensive and you got listed in the profanity list. Then you need to request EA_Atic to remove your name from the list.

I cannot chat, so how could I ask someone to type in my name?

Via VoIP, I would try this evening but I'm also unable to chat at the moment.

I changed my name and tried @safaripilot77  his name and it is appearing as ********

@EA_AticPlease remove the nickname Zasranec71 from the chat filter. I've been playing with him for 7 years. Only for the last week I can't write anything in the chat !!!

Ive been on a break from BFV, and now ive installed it again. And my chat dont work. I cant write in ALL/TEAM/SQUAD anymore. Any fix for this?

I'm also looking for a fix. I cannot type anything in chat. All system messages like need ammo show up, but nothing I type?

I think all EA support have yeeted out of helping as it's a lost cause, all they could offer was the equivalent of using a cup of water to try put out a dumpster fire.
