@SprocketfixWell I'm glad that sorted it so you can actually chat. I've got honestly no idea why 'Sprocketfix' would be an issue as there's obviously nothing offensive about it. Let's just hope BF6 has an improved system as it must be frustrating.

@UP_Hawxxeyemight be worth adding 'sprocket' and 'fix' to your list?

@EA_AticYes I can understand that maybe not all the words are totally nice words.
It is up to the stuff to decide which words to allow, but I do hope that there is at least the consideration that this is a 17+ mature game and not an elementary school classroom 😉.

A lot of these words sound a lot more profane when replaced by stars and often normal communication is also impeded

Since the word "cancer" is sadly already allowed in spite of its main use as a way to wish players a painful death IRL then most of the words I listed are a lot more innocent. At least in my humble opinion.

That is what I wanted to say :D I will stick to just reporting words again like in the old topic from now on

3 months have passed since my first post in this topic. No support received...😠😠

chat filter is like Aplha version from github. Blocking allmost every word. Does not matter if is bad or good. Some country names blocked too, cities, feels, animal names etc... This is like communist filter. Why not blocking only bad language?

seems like nobody at EA cares this is really a Joke

Yep!!! Some players *snip* can take it if someone calls them ''stupid'' or ''noob'' on the internet.

I can't write anything to chat in the BFV. It was okay when I first played, but I took a break for a few months. Later when I reinstalled the game, I found that I could not type anything in the chat. I've been using the same username everywhere for a long time and I don't want to change it. EA and DICE should find a solution to this.

Same happened to me recently. I've been using this username in multiple games on all platforms, I don't want to change it just so I can use the chat. Also, I've been playing the game for more than a year and it worked to write in chat until last month, when I assume the system started filtering my username.

It is so absurd that even "fix" is a filtered word.

So now if someone says "When will they fix this?", what will come out is "When will they *** this?"

This is another case of instead of contributing to a safe and clean community, the filter creates the illusion of even more profanity.

Yep. Even Call of Duty allows chat to be either filtered or not by settings or completely disabled if one doesn't want to chat.

I've been using my username Ortiran in pretty much every game I've played and it is never an issue. That was taken so I made it Ortiran1. Can that be allowed through the filter?

The name was not blocked, like I said, I added 1 because it was already taken.

So I changed my name from C0Mr4d3R to C0MrAd3 a few months ago as a workaround to be able to use the in-game chat. The problem was caused by the "Mr4d" part that was censored for some reason. Now, the profanity filter is censoring the "C0M" part so I have to change my name yet again. This is absolutely incredible. I have to change my name every freaking month now. Dice, fix your sh*t
