this works only when you die (and no medic is there^^)
go to customize , now go out and deploy
this helps me but you have to die...

The best thing i would advise you is to restart the game, but i am pretty sure you've already done it.

Summarize your bug Mouse stuck in small area at the centre of the screen in the in-game menus. You can move it a little bit but not outside the centre and it looks like it is being dragged back to the centre of the screen.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Apply the update and see what happens.

What happens when the bug occurs? See above.
What should be happening instead? Free the cursor.

I have tried disabling the Origin in-game overlay, installing the latest video drivers, repairing the game files and restarting the PC and am still getting the same issue.

If I use Shift+F1 to bring up the Origin overlay the mouse can move around normally, but qhen I escape out of that back to the in-game menu it become stuck again.

  • Yes, totally. It's so ANNOYING cus there doesn't seem to be any fix!

If you have a controller plugged in, unplug it, tadaaa.. I have to manually plug in my controller when I want to fly a plane now..

i dont have any controller plugged in its the same problem since december and it keep coming back, even when i plug/unplug any controller nothing happens ...

@Sveittjpongcan confirm for me that unplugging the controller helps. cursor no longer bungeed on the middle of screen after i unplugged it.

but it was possible to move the cursor with the controller plugged on before this patch, so that must be bugged...

to note BTW, reinstalling the game DOES NOT help. the bug is still persistent so the bug positively comes from the patch

    Hey everyone!

I have sent this on to the team and they are investigating the issue!

The current workaround we have seen so far to work for some are to unplug any USB device that is connected to the pc that is not M&K.

    Thanks for all the reports!

  • Greetings all, I fixed it for me.

A new device appeared under Human Interface Device category in Device Manager, called "Virtual XInput Device".  I have no clue what this was and it was never there before, so I disabled it.  My mouse now works in the BF5 menu.

I have GTX1080Ti and Roccat TYON mouse.  See if this works for you, and if it does, please post what hardware you are running so we can see if we can pin down the culprit.

    Thank you

  • That wouldn't make sense because I literally have everything plugged in to stream. Stream deck, usb devices, lights, etc. Please get your team to respond back to us asap, I just tried and the mouse cursor is still stuck in the middle and EXTREMELY frustrating.

@RegularcoreGamerConfirmed - if the "Virtual Xinput Device" is disabled, normal mouse control is restored. If you enable it again the pointer becomes stuck in the centre of the screen. Thanks very much.I also have a Tyon mouse.

I disabled the Virtual XInput device but it didnt help, uninstalling it did though.

    I have a TYON too.

  • This worked for me. Had a Ps4 controller in USB. Either the controller or keyboard and mouse. Not both connected in this case

  • PEOPLE, I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!!  (EA, THANKS FOR NOTHING)

One of yoiu postted that: A new device appeared under Human Interface Device category in Device Manager, called "Virtual XInput Device".  I have no clue what this was and it was never there before, so I disabled it.  My mouse now works in the BF5 menu.

I had no Virtual Xinput Device, but I dissabled everything less the USb entries, and finally after 2 weeks, I can play my 50€, THANKS EA.

I don't know yet wich is the one you should disable, but I know it is one of this Devices.

    I hope this help you.

I dont even have Virtual Xinput Device in the device manager

  • I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT. I DO NOT have Virtual Xinput Device but I do have my PS4 Wireless USB plugged into my Corsair RGB Headphones Stand and THE MOMENT I removed it I could move my mouse in Battlefield 5 again. Cheers

Yes, removing Virtual Xinput Device in Device manager resolved the issue. Cursor is working correctly. Many thanks Danielmejor2001, none of EA support (online, phone) haven't figured it out, good to have you here.
