Re: PC Battlefield 5 High CPU usage, Low GPU usage

Ok, overclocking wasn't the issue, some obscure setting was definitely causing the issue, couldn't pin point what it was. I set the clock speeds to stock and was still getting odd stuttering issues.

So I used the gamer OC profile that gigabyte has and that so far has fixed the issue. With everything maxed and resolution scale at 100 and 1440p, I'm getting roughly 70 fps fps even in intensive scenes and averaging between 90 and 110 fps. and don't feel the stuttering issue. So my only assumption is some obscure setting was affecting it. OC profile seems to have set everything just right and sets the clocks to 4.7 so I'm happy.

Just wanted to update.

  • Update 2: Ok, I figured out my personal issue for the micro stutters. In Nvidia control panel, I set the PhysX setting to the GPU instead of Auto and 100% butter smooth in game. Overclocked the PC back to 4.8 and set all my settings to what they were and still butter smooth. This is in DX12 as well. Only thing annoying with DX12 is the grass flickering at times. Ugh. lol

  • Yeah taking everything back to default settings is usually the first step.

    Is there any fix yet?

My 1070Ti sits on 60% in all cases possibly, FFR On or off, DX12 or DX11...

Have you tried my current suggestion? If you have an Nvidia gpu, try going into Nvidia control panel and set the physx setting to the 'gpu' instead of 'auto' or 'cpu'.

To this day, I still don't have the stuttering issues since I randomly tried that. Weird.
