Re: Tides of War missions not tracking progress - MEGA THREAD

Product: Battlefield V

Platform: Playstation
Please specify your platform model: PS4
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Various - all stemming from Tides of War
Please select your region: United States of America
On which server did this happen? Various
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm): 26/12/2018 and 27/12/2018
Summarize your Bug: Tides of War is not tracking my assignments or is tracking it inconsistently.  The second "season" of Tides of War (Award: Ratburner Helmet - spelling may be incorrect) would never complete.  I would reach the last challenge (I believe it was kill 2 enemies with V-1 or JB-2 Missles) and it would never unlock - even after multiple kills (6+) - therefore I never received the award.  Had issues with with several other challenges (Healing, Repairing, etc.) as well, but for the most part, would finally unlock over time.  Now, I'm working on the fourth "season" of Tides of War (Snostorm) working to unlock the new weapon.  After 8+ hours of gameplay on Grand Operations, I can't even get the initial assignment to unlock to start any progress on it.
How often does the bug occur? Season 2 - 100% fail on final challenge to unlock Helmet.  Season 4 - 100% fail on first challenge to unlock Weapon.  Other instances would vary.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make attempt at Tides of War assignment.  For simple assignments (Healing, Spotting, Repairing, etc.), check to see if the game is registering an attempt.  For more difficult (i.e., time consuming) assignments (Finish Grand Operations), play for 30 - 45 minutes to see if you receive credit.
What happens when the bug occurs? Fail to receive credit for my time spent in game and fail to receive unique awards.
What should be happening instead? Tides of War assignments should be tracked accurately 100% of the time.

So today I thought - you know what I will give week 4 a go.

I selected Recon (my least favourite class)

And set off in to a Grand Operation - possibly the first time I have done so.

I arrived, checked what assignments where showing - and like magic the tides of war 1st bit was there - complete a Grand Operation.

So off I set, and the battle with the enemy rolled on, we fought through mud, dirt, bombs, revives and sweat. We killed, and killed again. Eventually we arose sweaty and shell shocked from our ordeal as the victors on this occasion.

The end of game section rolled in, I had moved up a notch as a recon (hoorah), I had racked up two levels on my latest weapon, I had completed one of the assignments. and then shock, horror and amazement crossed my face. Nothing for tides of war.. it was there in the HUD, it was showing as live - and willing. But it decided to give me the middle finger and not register my achievement of completing the round. But I sat ponderous on my sandbag, looking at my rifle, smoke gently rising from its barrel, I had been victorious, I had done what the task required. And yet the game had acknowledged many of my achievements but not the one that had brought me to this game mode.

After I had quit out, dejected. I decided to have a look at my new and improved recon class weapon and upgrade it a little as its now passed level 4. yippee. Alas there staring me in the face was the week 3 unlock, available in my weapon selection, but provided I pay coin.. company coin. What! I had done the sweat, grit and tears to earn this, and now to rub salt in that much complained about open wound - EA/Dice have opted to make it available for me to buy.. are they for real.

So not happy with my well earned coin to buy the game, and not acknowledging my valiant efforts to complete the designers tests, they opt to ask me to spend more for a gun I had well beyond completed the task for, but their failing code wouldn't grant me it, nor would their complaints hotline.

I am sorry guys, but I am closing in on rank 50, and I have put some hours in (well in the 40's), and I love the game - but this is killing me, I pray that on my birthday in a few days time, I have sufficient coin to buy something else, something that is reliably going to fill the heart aching void that leaving BFV will give me. There is no way I will complete the 420 hours or so I put in to BF1, where I did the road to BFV without glitch, hitch or even a smattering of technical issue.

    Adios.
