Remove Firestorm

Several reasons:

1. I have to wait for the game to find the server. I waited for 5 minutes, canceled search. I tried to rejoin, waited for 2 minutes, it found the game. But...

2. The last 2 games I played, 1 game had 30 players, 2nd game had 8 players. Out of 100. Thus... Not so popular?

3. IT'S BUGGY!!!! I wanted to replace the armor, and... The game closed. Like, literally, just crashed.

I mean, if it's only me who experiences the Firestorm that bad - I am sorry, but all I can do is to ask to do something about this mode here. I understand my chances are slim, but this stupid mode is required in most chapters, and so I'm forced to try to play and fail, and fail, and fail. What do I do wrong so that the game keeps crashing? It doesn't crash in any other mode, only Firestorm. What do I do to call more players? I can't do anything here. So... If this game mode is so unpopular, and possibly too buggy, why keep it? Anybody agrees?

I'll close the post at your request. Like what @TTZ_Dipsy was saying though, going to DX11 should help avoid crashes if you try switching to that for that mode. Firestorm is a MUCH larger map than other BFV maps in the game, so it can be a little more demanding with the amount of things it has to load up.

We've seen both positive and negative feedback on it being included in chapters. One thing to consider is that like you said, wait times can be longer for your region, so by adding it to a chapter where Battlefield fans need to jump in to earn that XP, it can help reduce wait times because of more queuing up.

The time you play and your region have a massive impact on FS lobbies.

What is your region? I find 6-10pm Pacific to be the best time to play and I always have full servers (NA West region). Crashes are never fun; I recommend you extend your recordings to as long as they can go and make sure to record what you were doing prior to the crash; on PS4 at least, footage can still be salvaged despite crashes.

As for Tides of War, it's pretty rare for Firestorm to be part of a mandatory node - This week can easily be done using the bottom row and you don't need to play Firestorm to get the helmet (you'll miss out on chapter xp, mind you).

@TTZ_DipsyThere were a couple of chapters where firestorm was necessary to play to unlock the item/gun. When it was just added - you had to play it to unlock the stuff. Now they go a bit easier on it, but still... I just now tried to play. Filled up a vehicle, wanted to enter it, hit "E" and... The game crashes. So... once again, if it's only me, what am I doing wrong? Or if it's a lot of people - why not fix the entire gamemode, or remove it at all?

True, same thing happened when Rush, Grind, and Control launched - all a tactic to get people to play the mode. Many people did complain so hopefully we can continue to see multiple branches in the future.

I'm unfamiliar with PC errors but I know a lot of people have been finding various fixes. First, you should probably file a report ticket over in https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/battlefield-v-bug-reports-en. With your specs detailed I'm sure someone can give you better advice.

Second, while AHQ is technically the right place to ask questions, I recommend asking for help with your errors in the regular forums since the community is much larger - https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/categories/battlefield-v-pc-community. It could all come down to just checking/unchecking a single box ( I vaguely remember something about DX11). Good luck.

I wouldn´t say remove Firestorm, but make it free to play as so many of the other battle royales. I really like the mode and think it has potential to grow big, but I have the same issue with low server population.

@TTZ_DipsyWell, if the game works, it should work with all modes. It's like building a house, but forget to build a wall. Beautiful, when you look at it from one side, but unacceptable when look from the side with no wall. Am I right here? So, if there is a single checkbox to untick, it shouldn't matter, because this means that the game is not finished, that it needs this last wall, to be called a game. You see what I'm talking about? It's either that the entire game works, or it does not work at all. It shouldn't be like you open the door into the house, you enter, you open the door to the kitchen, and you're outside. (That is, you (or in ths case, I) enter Firestorm, do something, and the game crashes.) This is exactly why I'm telling this mode should be removed. And also, it's not as popular.

OK, so, here's just one example: https://youtu.be/MIAzX43SDlw. Don't ask me why I wanted to replace this plate, let's just say, by error. I still can't get used to this game mode, simply because it crashes like after 5 minutes or even less after starting the game, like, 99% of the time, at least.

It's only one example out of many, many more. I will let EA Support know, and I probably will report it as a bug, but the simple fact that this game is raw, makes it necessary to do something about it. Or am I wrong here?

I understand your frustrations but the fact it hasn't happened to me on PS4 is reason enough to assume it's a setting on your PC. There are so many options for PC builds that a single setting on any component could cause a problem.
When you submit a report I'm sure someone will look into it - the last thing they want is for someone to be unable to play their product. I've been able to find plenty of matches in NA West servers so the mode isn't exactly dead.
None of these errors are your fault, it's just bad luck but I'm suee it can be fixed

2. The game is out of 64 players, but I get your frustration.
3. Firestorm has been far less buggy than other modes (the least I'd argue, and by a mile). I've never experienced a crash by replacing armor plates.

@meeha2 I'm not sure I would go to the extent of saying "Remove Firestorm" because you (and others) are having issues. Fix Firestorm and/or make Firestorm free for all might be a better solution. I personally don't have issues with game-play in Firestorm but I am aware many do.
Making it free for all would bring more people to the servers and more importantly, to the base game which they would have to purchase.
On a Sunday night I normally see 50 plus people or even full servers with Firestorm but during the week I have seen most games start below 30 people. Sometimes less than 20.
I play between 6pm and 10pm Eastern US time for reference. I mainly play the base game but I do try to play Firestorm (rather poorly) mixed in throughout the night.

Throw into the mix different internet connection types, builds of Windows and driver versions and it's gotta be a nightmare to make it right for everyone.
I got "lucky" with the components for my build when I chose them. Aside from a two week stretch where I would crash once a night I have been trouble free from that perspective.
