If it wasn't yesterdays server side patch that fixed this issue, it will definitely be the big December 4th patch that should alleviate your problem.
Seems like everyone is having some kind of issue with the game; sorry you're affected

We've seen others having success getting round this by loading into games from the server browser instead of selecting the tiles from the Multiplayer menu. Hope that helps you out and thanks for sticking it out with us while it's being addressed.
Well it is now December 16th and I am continuously getting stuck on a loading screen. I’ve been playing tides of war and I love this game but I play ONE match and then going into the next one it just gets stuck. Are you guys going to fix this? If so, then when will the next update be?
Same thing whole the time.1 map then crash in between loading next map...sigh
