- @x--Fusi--x Thanks for pointing out the folder locale, unfortunately it still boils down to uninstalling another 90gb game and reinstalling it.
Also if your watching this topic EA i've been doing this for a month now, so yeah like over 300gb of games downloaded/uninstalled and not one will launch. Hey guys, non of the solutions above work for me. Uninstall and reinstall both the game and EA play dont work. Clear cache dont work either. Someone Please help... I m still keeping getting this error for battlefield V.
EA play is indeed real trash... waste ppl's time and money
Same here now,, few days ago i reinstalled the "xbox" app from the PC aswell as the EA Desktop, re-linked the accounts but nothing.
reinstalled the game, deleted cache everything.. too bad were forced into being beta(alpha imo) testers aswell when games cant even run from it. Lucky for us we have 0 support of this :D
Yeah it's pretty ridiculous actually, at this point I'm just screwed out of like $200 of games because none of them launch. I've located at least 6 similar topics and none of the solutions have worked. There was mention of a file in the documents folder centered around Origins installation that was suggested to be deleted but I've never found such a folder in My Documents.
Guess I'm just done buying anything Linked to EA at this point, I'm tempted to just abolish any titles that have a 3rd party client and just use Steam exclusives.

This is really disappointing. I came back after time away and Origin wanted to update. After updating Origin, it crashed. Every time I try to launch Origin, it crashes. I remember others experiencing this bug years ago and finally it's come to bite me as well. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Still crashes. I uninstalled Origin and installed EA Desktop. It didn't recognize my games. So I deleted all my games. I reinstalled my games. I had to do this and delete caches etc multiple times because the launcher wouldn't finish downloads. Finally I finish Battlefield 4 and I get to launch and play it once. Today I'm downloading Battlefield V through EA Desktop, I decide I want to play BF4. But no, now the game is failing to launch through EA Desktop. I have zero idea why. It launches on Origin though.
I would love to buy BF2042. I'm hyped about the game. I've loved every Battlefield game.
But oh my god I would never buy anything on Origin or EA Desktop. What an absolute horrid experience.
my problem still persists. no solution?
I only have the EA Desktop folder inside the EA Desktop folder, I don't have the outdated one.
- @TheGamingTree21 This saved my life 🙂
One quick fix you could try is not running the game as an administrator. Worked for me
