Dead Space 1: PS3 Dualshock Right D-Pad Crashes Game Instantly

Alright, this is a bit of a long one. I got Dead Space on Origin. Wanted to use a controller. Tried using a PS4 controller. D-pad up and d-pad right didn't work, registering 2 weapon slots unusable....

    Yeah, it's a driver issue. I've talked with the guy on their forums, and it's a pretty simple fix. Nevermind, y'all!

UPDATE: Turns out the D-Pad is seemingly not supported in the GPJ and SDF modes for the driver I used, but it should still work in SXS. Doesn't, though. Still -- probably an issue of the driver. If y'all know of any alternatives or anything, though, please let me know.
