Dead Space 3 Co op problem

Alright, I've noticed that this has been a problem for just about everyone recently. But when I try to invite a friend to my game in Dead Space 3, it tells me that Origin In-Game isn't turned on when it very wll is. I've seen a few people that have managed to fix, including one on the Answer HQ itself, but it didn't fix my problem or seemingly many others. I was wondering if there was some sort of fix that I haven't found or if Origin will fix the problem. I got the game in the Humble Bundle so it's not THAT big of a deal considering I got like 10 games for 5$ including Dead Space 3. It just bothers me that I can't play with my friends. All-in-all it won't effect me too much because I've already bought and beat the game on Xbox before I switched to PC. Thanks.

    One that used to work:

    1. Go to visual settings

    2. Set it as windowed (fullscreen)

    3. Accept.

    Now it should work. Origin should have appeared in the right lower corner. If it haven't:

    4. Lower your resolution. Don't need to accept, should be fine now. Now you can use fullscren and resolution you want.

    The problem is, after the latest origin update, it doesn't work anymore. I mean, you need to uncheck "beta version" in origin. Then origin comes back to the version the method above works fine. I just figured it out.

    Hey everyone,

    I too was experiencing A TON of problems getting co op to work with my friend.  We eventually figured it out.  I hope you can follow my steps and see if this resolves any issues for you, as well.

    First- Click on Start

    -> Computer

    -> Network (on bottom left)

    -> Under Network Infrastructure right click the picture of your router

    -> Click Properties, followed by Settings

    -> Add. Description of service is Dead Space 3, Your IP for your router ex. 192.168.<>.<>, both ports should be 3659, select UDP, Click OK.

    Now, the second step is to portforward.  The best way to do this is go to google.com and type something like "Portforward for Dead Space 3 PC <insert your router name and model here" and submit.

    Your results should be something like this:

    http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT54G/Dead_Space_3.htm

    Or you can simply go to http://portforward.com and navigate to your router type and select the game there.

    Follow the very easy instructions with setting up a Static IP, and then opening the ports that it prompts you to in your router settings.

    I know, it seems like alot, but it only takes about 10 minutes or less to set it up, just follow the pictures, it's very easy and you'll be playing co-op in no time.

    Feel free to add me on Origin or Steam and message me for any help, I'll be glad to attempt to walk you through it.

    My user name is Repticon on Origin and Bronald Schwarzebrotha on Steam.

    Good luck !

    My co-op option is not working. I bought the game when it first came out and still every time I try to play co-op it says "please try again later. I saw some of the solutions of redeeming the code under the psn m
    Menu, but that didn't work. 3 people share my router and do not want to open a port. It leaving the router open can allow for hackers and viruses. Is there any other solution?
