Dead Space
"Your Graphics Card Does Not Meet Dead Space Minimum Requirements" My first time going for help, sorry if doing it wrong. But I assure you, i can handle 2008 Dead Space. My specs are this: Intel i...
It appears this is a known issue over on the Lenovo forums:
Good Morning 🙂
Thanks for your investigation! I already searched the forums and know that already. But maybe there can be done something from EA side to provide a patch or a programme that makes the game(s) use 48Hz refresh rate? Problem is, i already bought them and cannot give them back. On the other hand i do not want to give them back 😉 I just wat to play them but it is not possible...
Can EA provide something here? This would be a great for those who cannot make their refresh rate to 60 Hz.
Best regards,
Michael
There does seem to be a clash between new technology (4K) and this relatively old game.
I would love to be able to tell you that we can fix this but sadly for a relatively niche issue such as this I think the probability of a patch to address this is low.
i am not so deep into programming as i would like to but is it that hard to make a game like Dead Space not only using 60Hz as refresh rate? I mean hese games are normally developed on a PC so maybe there should be a possibility to make this value conditional, right?
My problem is that a)the display itself supports 60Hz and b) the intel driver supports 60Hz but the whole lenovo y50-70 is designed with 48Hz. I think it is because at that time the intel driver was only able to use 48Hz. As you might have read it is some kind of locked in the laptops BIOS that i only can use 48Hz. Its really a pitty...
Do you have some kind of solution for my whole problem here?
Best regards,
Michael
is there a way to accept that as a solution? I am not abe to find the button :D
I am not the only one having this issue with the Lenovo Y50-70 but it apparently doesn´t sound like Lenovo is going to provide a Bios-Update for that. And the real problem is, that there are a lot of games using 60Hz refresh rate as a "starting up" criteria which (i think) were ported from a console to PC...
