No Audio PS3

Hi, I have recently purchased Dead Space 3 from a supermarket chain a few days ago but have only got around to playing the game just now. Bearing in mind that it was a sealed copy so there is no way the disc itself is faulty. I had unsealed the case and put the disc into the playstation and therefore updated the game to the 1.02 update. What I had noticed when the game had updated was that there was no audio in the menu's game or anything from dead space 3. I've tried absolutely everything to try and get the audio to work but have had no look. Could you assist me on this problem or if it is a common fault? Thanks, Sam
