No intro and in-game video

When I launch the game, intro video with Nicol are not appear on screen. Black screen with text, and then game proceed with interrogation scene. Also, video file "Previous in Dead Space" are not open - few seconds of black screen and returning to game menu.

Aside from that game works perfectly, but I afraid - without any in-game video. There is no problem in anti-virus, or OS. I've played this game already, on same PC, no changes in configuration  or software. There were video and intro last time.

I also noticed, that there missed "dsdata" files in game folder (only have 2,3,6,7,8,9 dsdata.dat files) - I reinstalled it twice - same result. Origin installation, anti-virus switched off. I tried install new drivers and Dx

 - nothing helped so far.

Also there is no files, where I could switch Dx10 to Dx9 as in BF:BC2, so I assume, DS2 game run at dx9 by default. (and yes, I played with graphic options - from max to minimum - nothing.)

    Finally, I found a decision. Not the best one, but at least game works perfectly now.

    To everybody, who have problems with missing logo, intro or in-game videos:

    1- uninstall DS2

    2- Change Origin language to English (US)

    3- Install DS2

    3- Enjoy the game

    The only problem is: after that game would be completely in English. It's fine for me, but may be a nightmare for those, who have problems with English.

    I suppose, that Origin chose localization pack (including video) accordingly to Origin language settings, regardless of game version. But there is no dubbed videos for Russian language. So Origin, as a clever programm, decide not to confuse russian (and sometimes german) users with English language and simply DOES NOT load video with the game.( "movies" folder and all VP-files are not downloading). 8.6 GB instead of 9.4 GB.

    I think, for language packs, that have not dubbed videos, Origin should download English ones by Default - because there are good subtitles provided (as always in EA games, IMHO).

    How many files of the .VP6 type do you have. I see 63 in my installation.

    For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dead Space 2\movies\en\bloopers.vp6

    Try running the following setup files:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dead Space 2\__Installer\DISK1\Redistributable\vcredist_x86_en.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dead Space 2\__Installer\DISK1\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe

    Actually, there is no "movies" directory in my game folder. No VP6 files either. Game size ~ 8.6 GB. I don't see the way to check installation files through Origin, so it's hard to say.

    DirectX and VCRedist from game are installed - nothing changed.

    Have you played the game much, i.e. do you have some save games? Are the stored locally or in the cloud? Where did you purchase the game, via Origin or elsewhere?

    Yes, I've played the game about 2 or 3 hours back in November 2013. There is only cloud save data. The game was purchased via Origin (25.8.2013).
