Possible Dead Space 3 PC Bug on Chapter 13

I am on what I assume is the last leg of the climbing components of chapter 13 on Dead Space 3. I am playing on the PC. I have had no problem until now. Issac can jump to the left but cannot jump bac...

No bug just confusing controls. Sometimes Issac jumps  just fine without pressing shift and spacebar, sometimes he doesn't.
