I really wish I had been sent a survey so I could have told them how disappointed I am in how they've handled the stuttering issue, ignoring it and hoping people move on is just not good enough. It's very clear they don't care about the customer or the game.
One week since the last branch update. The public release doesn't count since it's just the last previously worked on branch update released several days after it was finished. Is that it, Motive? You done now? This is the state you want to leave the game in?
I hope not but there is absolutely nothing from EA / Motive / Community Managers @EA_Illium to confirm there is an issue in the first place.
I've been badly burnt on this one and now past refund time.
Anyone at EA or Motive grow enough of a spine or show enough integrity to actually respond to this, hm? No one? All happy to hide behind a veil of silence like school children? Very cool.

Why would they respond? The reality is that the issue is likely too much time and effort to fix for the users affected by it. There’s no reason for the community managers to come in here to tell us “no, it will not be fixed. Sorry.” Assuming they even look at this thread anymore.
Not much we can do about it - we’re just shouting at the clouds now.
@GloomyGhoul451Why wouldn't they respond? No reason to tell us "it takes to much time and effort?". Really? 1. Why tf is the biggest issue with the game one that "takes too much effort" and 2. Even if it's just not fixable, why wouldn't you tell your fans? This only makes sense if they see us not as people but as wallets. Wallets that already paid out and now can't get a refund. And maybe we can't, but we can skip their other games, or get them other ways.

The reality is that there are huge memory management issues on PC that effectively cause the game to be rendered unplayable after 10-15 minutes. Doesn't matter what your hardware is, these are issues with the PC build of the game that need to be corrected.
I'm still here, watching and shaking my head every day that goes by with absolutely nothing being done. I've seen smaller games from smaller studios get updates for far longer than this got, unless they're working on something far behind the scenes (they're not) -- a real shame, as their lack of official acknowledgment outside of a community manager (community managers are not developers) means we're likely going to see the exact same issue with any future titles from this company.
At this point, I can only assume that we will have to "brute force" us out of this problem and mitigate it with future PC hardware through faster I/O Bus with upcoming PCIE revisions and higher CPU clock rates.
The game still stutters badly if you run it from a ramdisk, I don't see it being possible to brute force this issue.
I know it'll never be fixed but I can't help but check SteamDB every so often in the hope that EA or Motive decide to do the right thing.
Why is this still not fixed EA come on with the patch!
Traversal and streaming related stutters
The game suffers from frequent stutters when the player crosses invisible boundaries in the game, like opening a door or when walking around. Shader compilation stutters can possibly trigger during gameplay after changing graphical settings. Additionally, there are strong suspicions that the game's shader pre-compilation is not fully exhaustive in pre-compiling all shaders used by the game. This can lead to some rare shader compilation related stutters.
Inconsistent performance between runs
The same in-game scene can sometimes run with different performance between runs for unknown reasons. This happens even after changing no in-game settings and a full PC system reboot.
Lower performance and random performance drops after changing graphical settings
Performance can go lower than expected after changing graphical settings in the in-game menu.
Shader pre-compilation does not trigger when reinstalling same GPU driver version
After reinstallation of same GPU driver version, the game's shader cache will be deleted as intended, but the game does not trigger shader pre-compilation at boot after this. Leading to huge shader compilation related stutters during gameplay.
And the list goes on and on..
had a feeling this issue was never going to be addressed so decided to play on and try to ignore the stutters, been chasing the last achievement for completing Impossible Mode and when i get that i will be done with the game.
other than the stutter it's been a great game.
Physically can't do this - it's too immersion breaking, I find the game totally unenjoyable in this state.

main difference is the PS 5 doesn't have shader compilation stutter which probably makes it a smoother experience
