found out the stutter is just as bad on the PS 5 console
PS 5 footage

PC footage in the same area (my recording)

main difference is the PS 5 doesn't have shader compilation stutter which probably makes it a smoother experience
- @macatak Thanks for posting that. I was considering buying it on PS5 when it reduced enough in price, good to know there's no need to bother.
Bump.
I know you'll never fix this, EA, but I'm buggered if I'm letting this thread drop off the first page.

They really do hope we'll just forget.
I wouldn't keep my hopes up, because the community manages aren't even responding anymore. Not on Steam or Reddit. Just look at the launch of The Jedi game of EA. this says it all. It's a bad year for gamers overall.
Its May 6th, and stutters still persist in this game. How long has it been since launch?
Fine, EA, you win. I'll shut up.
You've lost a good customer (and past advocate for your products) for life.
After 3 mounths it still stutters like crazy, I rly wanted to play this but I cant and they dont care so I refunded. GJ EA!
Hello my fellow issue-havers! I have descended from space to give you a fix to all the stuttering.
I'm not sure how more people don't know this yet, but there IS a fix 🙂
Go to https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases and download the most recent version of DXVK
The file is compressed as a .tar.gz file, but WinRar is free and fully capable of unzipping this. Alternatively, I can just zip it and post it here if people are desperate lol.
Extract the file after downloading
Inside the folder are several files, but the one you're looking for is dxgi.dll
In a different window of file explorer, navigate to wherever your Dead Space is installed
Inside of the folder named Dead Space (2023) is a folder named x64
Open that folder, and then copy the dxgi.dll file into that folder. That's it, all done 🙂
It's a godsend and will wipe away all those stuttering issues! Woohoo!
Do be aware that it'll stutter very badly for a bit after launching it, but that's because it's compiling and caching stuff. Give it five minutes and it'll be silky smooth c:
If it's still stuttering exactly the same way even after all this, go to your Documents folder, where there's a folder named Dead Space (2023)
(yes i know the name is exactly the same as the install location's name, but it's in the documents folder)
Then, after opening it, delete the folder named cache
then launch your game and let it buffer!

No, that doesn't fix the traversal stutter. How could it? This is clearly for shader compilation stutter. I'll always give these kinds of fixes the benefit of the doubt and try them, which I just did. Absolutely nothing. Yes, I also deleted the cache folder. Traversal stutters are completely identical before and after. The game is just loading a crapload of data all in a single frame instead of, I guess maybe breaking that up over several frames but hitting the CPU less hard or something.

Digital Foundary went back to the game last week and basically said it's not been fixed and still has serious T.S and it's something to do with the CPU side of things, yet EA motive have released nothing since feb it's a joke

Yeah, basically it was the worst game in the video because they just completely abandoned it. Despicable.
Summer 2023 - july 6 The games been out 6 months.
the game still stutters! no patch released to fix it.
I feel like they have abandon the game to work on dead space 2 remake.
also it could smell like an engine problem so it will never get fixed, and we will have to deal with the same crap all over in dead space 2 remake.
it's sad times to be a gamer.

I actually upgraded my computer last week, and decided to change to an AMD GPU, with a stronger AMD CPU to pair with it.
I can confirm that it’s not a VRAM issue, because my new GPU has 20GB of VRAM, and it stutters just as badly as my 8GB Nvidia card. That’s paired with the fastest AMD CPU and 32GB of RAM that is much faster than either the PS5 or Xbox have. Still stutters.
i can’t say I wasn’t hoping for a better result, but I didn’t let my expectations get out of hand. I am utterly disappointed in EA MOTIVE, and will personally never purchase another EA game. - Nakatomi_Uk2 years agoRising Hotshot
I believe EA Motive have been assigned to the new IRON MAN game
EA are literally con merchants.they should be taken to court.Their marketing is amazing, they sell millions of duff products and dont do anything to fix them and completely ignore the consumers.Dont buy EA software guys, maybe and only then will they get the message to sort their products out. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Well, if the rumors are to be believed, the series is already back on ice anyway. Couldn't even put in the effort to fix this one critical issue, so it's no wonder they can't put in the effort to remake the fan favorite, best-selling game in the series. Apparently even selling 4 million copies, Dead Space 2 wasn't profitable? Don't know how you can sell 4 million of something and not make any money, but maybe that's why they're so far down the MTX rabbit hole. Only way they know to run a business.
