Suddenly Corrupt File

First of all, so much for the usefulness of cloud saves when they still get corrupted.

Now I was 37% through the game with my brother and we can't continue because my save has been corrupted.  I tried downloading his save and it says I can't load that one either, so basically we are giving up on the game.

Is there anything that can be done, or are we forced to prematurely quit this game?

Hello, having a big problem here...

I played Dead Space 3 for like 4 hours the other day and today when I tried playing the game starts up with NO SAVE FILE. It just gives me that screen asking me to pick a save slot, which are ALL EMPTY.

I tried to find my save file, and noticed the game didn't even make a My Documents>EA Games> Dead Space 3 folder!

I looked in Program Files>Origin Games>Dead Space 3 and actually found my save file there, which is weird in itself. So I tried to make my own folder in My Documents to put my save file in, but that doesn't work either.

Also, now the game won't even let me start a new game. It just says 'UNABLE TO SAVE IN SLOT 1' and so forth.

Please help.

My friend and I logged on to origin after playing DS3 yesterday to find her save files just gone.  She did not delete anything in the documents/EA Games/Dead Space 3 saves or anything like that.  Her stuff simply vanished.  I checked in the directory and the save files are there, but the game isn't loading them.

Me and my friend were playing on hardcore and got to chapter 17 when we had to save and quit. However when we returned chapter 12 had disappeared from my chapter select list and more from his. Not only this but we couldn't join each others chapter 17 co-op game even though we could start from there on single player or co-op without each other in.

So I finished the game, went back in today to play some more. Try Co-Op etc, the game says my save files are damaged. Can I fix this or do I need to play through the whole game again?

I recently made it through all of pure survival mode while playing offline. my rewards for completeing did not proc when i started a new game on both pure survival and regular mode. so i logged off and made sure it wasnt the dlc store or anything (which i understand is bugged right now, i cant spend ration seals) so i went online and reopend the game. my game saves are gone! i looked and looked for a game saves file in windows but cannot find my game saves in dead space, let alone any origin game i have! so i was wonder if there was a file where said games can be found (like steam does) or a way to get back my saves. i started playing awakened yesterday (after GTAO crapped out) , anyway i got to the point just before you get off the planet. ithe game froze as i was getting out of the airlock thing to the area. so i quit and started again today and i didnt have a problem, i got into the tera nova and i got to the point  where you get off the tram and see the jacob danik video AND IT FROZE.  so i turned off my xbox and retried and i got to the video part and it froze again 2 more times, so i then i decided to do it one more time and i changed my suit and i waited for the video to finish and i was able to get to the bench YAY.  but when i looked at my progress and unlocks THERE WAS NOTHING it showed 0.0% and not even anything under the chapters (no chips, logs parts difficulty NOTHING). so i save and quit and check extras and it was the same story, so i then choose another save file and in my slot 1 which was normal (or whatever) and 100% and 84 hours NOW said  "blank" SLOT 1  "blank" 0.0% 84:34:54. 

and at this point i am freaking out you know thinking its gotta be a glitch ot something so i dashboard and go to the dead space 3 save file on my HDD and NOW i am freaking out my SLOT 1 says 0.0%, and as if that wasnt enough there was another save file at the bottom with something like SLOT 947699262001 0.0%.

can someone PLEASE tell me what the HELL is going on and PLEASE tell me i have not lost 84 HOURS of my life and items and work and prrogerss and unlocks forever.

I had been playing DS3 and was 80% through when I go to start up and my gamesave was reset.  I can't seem to find my purchased items anywhere.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I encountered a bug for which my save file suddenly crashed.It's a new game+ mode and i was searching for an artifact when it suddenly stopped working and crashed at somewhere between 97-98 percent completed with 94 hours inside.And when i booted it up again,it showed 0.00 percent completed with over 94 hours spent.And it didn't have a save file name along.(Like save file 1 or 2 along with the mode.)

Is there anyway to reverse this?Because i've put in alot of hours and i had most of the achievements when it suddenly decided to do that.

Same thing, played yesterday now will not load saved games. Keeps cycling back to the select file slot but the one I tried to load to is now grayed out. Just keeps creating new saves. Only loads the very beginning of the game. I had completed the game and was playing Game+ mode. EA needs to fix this **bleep** ASAP. The real problem is that I have seen this in other forums going back a Freaking year!! This requires action from the community. I for one am going to demand a refund. I have only had the game for 2 days. This is **bleep**.
