Trial version of Dead Space Extraction in PS3 DS2 Limited Edition.

I just bought a new copy of the original Dead Space 2 Limited Edition here in NZ (with the case advertising "Limited Edition Content: The Full Dead Space 2 game", and "Full Dead Space Extraction game"), but the disc identifies on the PS3 XMB as "Dead Space 2 Standard", and the version of Extraction included is just the trial.

I registered DS2's Online Pass from the manual in the vain hope that it'd make some difference, but rather unsurprisingly it didn't. Is there any resolution available for this? I already own DS2 on the PC, but I bought the game again for PS3 primarily for DSE as I'd just picked up a Move Sharp Shooter, so naturally this a little bothersome.

Thanks in advance.

It is quite possible that we cannot assist and your retailer will need to address this issue for you.

  • I previously purchased the Dead Space games for the 360 (even have a plasma cutter from the Dead Space 2 pre order), but as I no longer have the system, I recently purchased the trilogy for PS3 used at a local store. Both Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 pop up the Online Pass activation menu when starting the game, and while Dead Space 3 correctly has the Online Pass free, Dead Space 2 still has it listed as NZ$18.95 for purchase. I'm aware it was made free in other regions such as the United States, and figure that it still having a price in New Zealand was a simple mistake.

I'm wondering if you can get in contact with Sony to have it updated, or even just toss me a PAL region PSN code for the PS3 Online Pass so I can get rid of the popup when I start up the game. It isn't really important, just for convenience, as I doubt the online is still active at this point.
