This game is so starting to tick me off. My game froze on chapter 14 after crafting wepons and took me back to the drill on chapter 10. So I tryed playing it agin and it froze on chapter 12 when saving and quiting. Then it took me back to the drill on chapter 10 agin. So I tried playing it one more time and it froze on chapter 12 but this time I started on chapter 11. I'm starting to get anoued with haveing to beat all these levels agin. Is anyone else having this isue.

The game is on ps3 and I've tryed to start a new game that worked for a little bit until I got to the first wepon beanch to craft and game froze and i was back at a save before i made the wepon. so i then re instaled the game data ultry that did not work all it did was when I make items at the beanch now next save will send me back two three saves a lot of the time. I tried restoring systom files did not realy make a change to the game or ps3. I also got a new disc 3 times so i know its not the disk. I played four other games for three four hours and dead space three was the only one to freeze in like five ten min. Of game play. So I know it's also not the ps3. I did not seem to have a problom till I started doing the side quest. That's why I tryed backing up my saves and starting fresh but that only worked for a wile until I stared geting wepon parts and cerect s. but to this day I still don't know what the real problom is.

Game is still freezing after the weapon bench at next save after I make weapons or items but in my opinion since it did not start until I started the side quest it most of been one of the items I got on the side quest. Seeing as I can't play this game any more without it freezing I'm not 100 percent shure.

It sounds like your saves are being corrupted. When you started a new game, did you delete your previous save completely or did you just return to the prologue through chapter select? Even if they patch this issue, it is unlikely to repair your current saves.Also, it is unlikely, but have you noticed any hangs or delays in other games? Not crashes, just delays. It could be an indicator that the internal hard drive has become damaged. Again, its very unlikely but a possibility.

I'm not saying to reload the backed up saves. I'm saying that you should save them in case a patch does comes out and they suddenly work again.

The reason I suggested following those steps is that it would create the most stable setup to play a new save game and decrease the chance that the corruption will occur again.
If it makes you feel any better, I don't like that answer either. I wish I had some information to give you that would fix your saves. Its frustrating that I don't have the answer for you and I'm sure even more frustrating for you to have to restart the game. Hopefully EA will release a patch to correct this problem.

Ya it is a little frustrating but things happen just hop it is the game and not the ps3 ill just wate for a patch and hop that it will fix my issue thanks for all your help.

So I just went on google today and apparently if you get some were around 99 percent of weapon parts and then make to many weapons the game will freeze at next save. Some people are saying they had it acer with certain weapon parts. It makes me fell a little better that I'm not the only one with this issue. So at lest I can rest easy knowing that it is the game and not my ps3.

I complete the single player modes before doing the 1.02 update. I did the update, got my MK-V parts and started doing co-op this week. The chapter 4 co-op went fine. The chapter 11 co-op went fine but as we continued to play afterwards we had a freeze up in the elevator. Every since then I have experienced all sorts of wierdness. Partners that can't walk while in the airlock unless he points his weapon. Chap. 19 TK sequence ends suddenly and we are just standing around trying t figure out what to do and then, BAM! We flew into the air and I got "Your partner has died". Now co-op is just a series of lock ups and lost connections. I'm going to try to do it tonight and this weekend as I only need the chap. 14 co-op to get 100%. But this is very frustrating. There re numerous people in another forum that have been going through this long before I tried co-op. I'm going to back up my sves tonight and see if I have any more problems.

A lot of people are saying the mkv parts are one of the parts freezing game. I only played single player and I got all the wepon parts exept form the co op missions and it freezis at next save after crafting wepon but if I don't make them game is fine most of the time.

It sounds like your partner not being able to move is a bad Internet connection. As for you flying into mid air then dieing I have no idea other then it most likly a glitch maby try re instaling game data utility for game. Also that is a good idea to back up your saves incase your game get any more mest up.
