Given the amount of time that has passed, all the changes at EA, and zero news about DS2 remake, I am now convinced it's never going to happen.
Luckily, the original, (DS2) although dated is still a great game. Just about everyone should be able to max all settings.
It can't match DS1-remake graphics fidelity of course, but still it's not bad at all really. It's pretty intense and immersive so the dated graphics don't detract from it that much. Subjectively.
It's still well worth playing for those who didn't back when it was released.
