Will there be a Dead Space 2 Remake

When the game actually starts, it will run at 100 fps. After 30 seconds, it will completely freeze my computer. Doesn't matter the driver version number because I've tried every version since the release of the remake. The only other game that has done that recently is Gray Zone. I'm running an M.2 in PCIe. Furmark, 3d Passmark, and all manner of benchmarks and stress tests do not cause this issue. 

All other games run just fine in every settings configuration, Ultra to Low; FSR on Quality, Performance, and completely off. Ranging between 30 to 100 fps (freesync cap on my monitor) in BF4, BG3, Farcry 5 and 6, Star Citizen, Starfield, and pretty much any other of my 400 titles in my Steam library. Hell, my computer can even run Crysis at 30 fps, for what it's worth

In Japan ALL DS games are  100% banned on all CONSOLES. They don't exist here.

Luckily this doesn't apply to PC purchases. (Like EA digital download)

Why am I saying this? Well in the context of sales they will not be able to sell a single copy on ANY console here in Japan. So far this has had no impact on development, I just hope it stays that way.

Absolutely, they really should remake Dead Space 2; not just for nostalgia’s sake, but because it’s one of the best survival horror sequels ever made. It took the tight, atmospheric tension of the original and expanded it with more psychological depth, refined combat mechanics, and a broader, more haunting look at the Sprawl and Unitology. The original Dead Space remake showed there's a huge appetite for modernizing classic horror with today's tech. DS2, with its rich environments and character-driven horror, could truly shine with today's graphics, audio, and gameplay innovations. Plus, with the lore-heavy cliffhanger from DS3, a remake of DS2 could reignite interest in completing Isaac’s story the right way. 

I'm not sure what to say except it needs an SSD. What is your GPU etc. Hard to say without specs. Your CPU is i5-9600f. I imagine that may struggle in this game. But can't be sure. Certainly would have to use low settings.

Exactly. Going by DS1 remake, it is not the best optimized program, and uses fairly heavy resources but on my PC (i9-9900KS & RTX 3080ti on Samsung SATA 600MB/s regular 2GB SSD). Real speed maxes at 550MB/s or 540MB/s, but hardly relevant.

So using remake 1 as a model, the same kind of thing would work on any new or fairly powerful PC. It is really hardware dependent.

Hey, don't speak for everyone... I really hope they can bring us the Dead Space 2 remake. The first one ran great on my PC and I think that it is the same in most of all players who bought it too, otherwise the game wouldnt had 91% of positive critics on Steam.

It's a shame it can't run that great on your PC, you should try to figure out if there can be a hardware malfunction in your RAM, SSD (either NVMe), graphics card or motherboard, also try to check graphic card drivers or Direct X, NET Framework, SO updates, etc.

I have an i5-9600kf and a Radeon Vii. Crashes happened on a clean Windows 10 installation with all drivers up to date. Every time, it was a DirectX function call that did not exist or a failing function call from the Frostbite engine. I had been fighting with it for MONTHS while EA community managers promised fixes were coming. The fixes never came. I was not alone. It still does not run on my computer, even after all this time, with new driver updates and OS updates. This is the only game on my system with this problem, and it's the only game I've ever had this problem with out of the hundreds of others that I own

If it were the game, it would happen everyone. There is probably some minor issue (easily overlooked) to do with your PC or installation.

Agreed, Runs great on my PC. i9 9900ks with an RTX 3080ti. Maxed, with frame rated limited to 85fps in NVCP. No crashes, and looks great.

You might have a hardware issue. I’ve played the remake on both Xbox and PlayStation and am playing it on pc and I have never had the issues you speak of. The remake is Beautiful I believe on par with the resident evil 2 remake for best remake of all time.
